Adam Conley works 5.0 innings and is credited with his first MLB win as the Miami Marlins beat Cincinnati, 14-3, Saturday. Conley departed after the T5 with Miami trailing, 2-0. But the Marlins scored 5 runs in the B5 and added 8 more in the B7 when they collected a team-record nine straight hits.
Guys like Conley are what had me excited about Marbut. Things looked so exciting in 2010 and it's too bad that he couldn't continue the success upward from there. Unfortunately, it feels like we are close now and Marbut won't get to be part of it. That's sports though.
