I might have to watch the end of that one. Much as I swore not to watch or follow any of thre traitors, I have this morbid interest in them. Always rooting for them to get beat of course. I too hope TT (and SJSU) win a bunch of games. No-brainer there. mutts? Naw, I hope they lose every game. F them. Finally ran into this woman with a mutt shirt on. Yelled Go Cougs at her. I'm such an adult. :)

Continue to hold Pac-12 championships there like the conference has been doing w/o UNLV? Vegas is a great place for that, I agree. But you don't need add a school that will be a financial drain to do that, or UNLV would already be a Pac-12 member. You get all the upside of Vegas w/o the UNLV downside, i.e. no fan base.

SJSU didn't gash WSU with the run.

What SJSU did do is gash WSU with the PASS, and PASSED about 83% of time, and of the about 17% to 20% of time SJSU pased, about 3 were BIG PLAYS, and there was about 1,2 that were 4,5,6,7,8 yards, and about 4,5,6, that were -1,0,1,2,3 yard gains.

Only the 2,3 BIG RUN PLAYS made a difference. The rest of SJSU run plays, didn't have much difference on the game, except 1,2 drives that were sustained by 1,2 5 yard running first downs. So SJSU pretty much didn't GASH WSU with the RUN.

What SJSU did do is GASH WSU WITH PASS about 83% of time, which forced WSU to rush 4, drop 7 back into coverage, and even that didn't help, and then SJSU would 17% of time run against that rush 4, drop 7, that led to about 2,3 big running plays.

UNLV and Utah State

I don't get the UNLV love. Traditionally they are a bad bad football program. Four bowl games in school history (Fresno 31). They have lost more than 60 percent of their games. Game attendance is dismal. They had only 5 games that were broadcasted last year (Boise had 10, Fresno 8). In basketball they last won the MWC in 2000, its been more than 30 years since Tark roamed the floor. Yeah, Vegas is a holiday hub, but... is that why you invite a school to join a conference in need of a lucrative TV deal. No one in Vegas or elsewhere gives a crap about UNLV. Virtually everyone who lives in Vegas is from somewhere other than Nevada. What am I missing?

This team - like last year - wins some big games and then thinks they are world beaters. That’s on Jake. He’s got to keep his emotions in check after big wins and keep the motivation going to make sure we are ready to go for every game.

Here you go. Memphis, etc. would have to pay $27M each to leave the AAC. Basically the same as the MW poaching+exit fees. Allright, go get UNLV and one other to get to 8 and stand pat for now.

Really cool shot here. Right after the final play a bunch of Cougs go congratulate Emmett Brown on a helluva game. Respect. Dude balled out and I’m sure he wanted that one REALLY bad. He’s a damn good QB, didn’t even know before this week much about him or that he transferred there, but rooting for the kid going forward

Not much to add to the other replies. Dickert said exactly the right thing after the game, and it will resound with the team. That's called motivation. 4-0, on the cusp of the Top 25, 2 P4 wins, Apple Cup win, and here you are crying. No surprise that you failed as a coach.

I used to live in Boise for several years during the dark ages (Wulff era). For smugness and an entitled attitude they rival the mutts.
Sidenote... Waved old crimson down there when game day came for Boise and oregon. Herbstreit came up to us flag waivers after the game and said I can't wait to get to Pullman once you guys become relevant again. All of the game day people at the time we're really nice to us.
