# 1 Pick ~ Ward to Titans

That would be hilarious. At this point I’m thinking Steelers…although he doesn’t really fit there.

He will be a bargain. Makes me wonder what his dad said or what he did in team interviews or both to turn off all 32 teams…

One of the talking heads said that he talked to several teams that just didn’t have him rated that well. Hunter bailed him out on some bad throws, and his throw on the run wasn’t that great.
I didn’t watch enough of the Buffs to really say…but I don’t mind seeing egos get crushed. His and his dads.

His dad’s turn could be this season.

I’m guessing something like “suck my dick!”
At the end of the 3rd, between his record and his genes, it may be worth taking him even if you don’t really need a QB. It’s down to $1-1.5M, a bonus under a mil….and basically none guaranteed.

Holy hell, and now the Seahawks take Milroe ahead of him. Deion’s head is going to explode.

I like Milroe though. I’d rather watch him.

May he go undrafted? The whole Deion saying where he would and wouldn’t play was obviously a big turn off. NFL blackballed Kaepernick…

Could be. Arrogant, entitled, bad on the white board, bad with film, bad answering scheme questions…. To fall this far he flunked it all. And he may have just told some teams to piss off, Im not talking to you cause you arent drafting high enough to get me…

Dillon Gabriel just went before him too. Will Howard, Quinn Evers and Kyle McCord are the next ones on the board, and they’re pretty marginal prospects.

There’s really only 2 teams left picking in this round that have any reason to go QB - raiders (2 picks) and 49ers just for depth.

It is an unspoken commentary on both him and his dad. They’re assholes. The league knows it. They’re telling them without words.

Even Jerry Jones doesn’t like Deion enough to draft his son 😂
Niners, Eagles, and Vikings left picking tonight. None need a QB, but could take a backup.

When the Browns passed, his odds of starting this season fell off a cliff.

Jags have 2 picks in the first 5 tomorrow, they could take him as a backup, but he doesn’t match Lawrence’s style and they still have other needs. The Jets and Raiders also pick in the first 10. But really, the number of teams that need a QB is getting small.
4th round is 1.1-1.3M, signing bonus under 800K, and a solid chance of being out of the league in 11 months.

I’m just glad it’s over….now I can stop watching.

“And for Sanders, he’s had to pay quite a tax for his mission to become a legend.”

🙄

Hardly a more privileged player with advantages so few have had that have done (and will do) so much more.

He went from one program desperate for a qb to another program desperate for a qb to another program desperate for a qb. And you wont let go of his nuts why?

4-5 in league followed by 2-7 in league at WSU.

Bledsoe, Leaf, Gesser, Minshew all wayyy better qbs than Cant Ward. There may be a couple others too.

And here he goes #1 in a qb starved year and this is rock solid truth that I was wrong? lol I guess we will find out soon enough when he actually steps onto a NFL field and there are no more weak schedules to prop him up or fanboys like you, your wife uberstupid and cuckpatrol to jock his nutz.

Maybe you should watch the AC again and see what a real NFL qb prospect does …. 700 yards of offense…. Yeah, Cant Ward is amazing lol

Anthony Gordon.

That one is a coin flip to me. Gordon didn’t make the bad decisions under pressure that Ward did. But at least Ward used the left side of the field.
Gordon also only had one season, so we don’t see a trajectory for him.

I loved Anthony Gordon. But unfortunately, none of the 32 NFL franchises did. Every franchise passed on him for 7 rounds. Here are the QB’s drafted in the 2020 draft.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, 13 quarterbacks were selected. Here is the complete list, including their draft round, overall pick, and team:

1. **Joe Burrow** - Round 1, Pick 1, Cincinnati Bengals
2. **Tua Tagovailoa** - Round 1, Pick 5, Miami Dolphins
3. **Justin Herbert** - Round 1, Pick 6, Los Angeles Chargers
4. **Jordan Love** - Round 1, Pick 26, Green Bay Packers
5. **Jalen Hurts** - Round 2, Pick 53, Philadelphia Eagles
6. **Jacob Eason** - Round 4, Pick 122, Indianapolis Colts
7. **James Morgan** - Round 4, Pick 125, New York Jets
8. **Jake Fromm** - Round 5, Pick 167, Buffalo Bills
9. **Jake Luton** - Round 6, Pick 189, Jacksonville Jaguars
10. **Cole McDonald** - Round 7, Pick 224, Tennessee Titans
11. **Ben DiNucci** - Round 7, Pick 231, Dallas Cowboys
12. **Tommy Stevens** - Round 7, Pick 240, New Orleans Saints
13. **Nate Stanley** - Round 7, Pick 244, Minnesota Vikings

**Note on Anthony Gordon**: As mentioned, Anthony Gordon, the Washington State University quarterback, was not drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft but signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks.[](https://www.fanduel.com/research/theduel/nfl-draft-qb-selections-2020-by-round-team-01e6y5vzdtj6/)

What trajectory did Cant Ward have at WSU?

4 league wins to 2? Then he rolls on to Miami where he led their team to how many top 25 wins???

AG put up remarkable numbers for 1 year but if he was an NFL QB he’d still be playing. It’s a crap shoot the only difference is this league doesn’t believe in sunk costs so if you’re a top pick they will ride you out as long as they can and you’ll get many more bites at the Apple. Another tough pill for Shedeur: if he was a top 5 pick he’d almost guarantee to make it to his pension…5 years. No matter how bad he sucks. In the 4th or later he could get cut in year 2 and be done.

If I’m a GM, this makes the decision between #1 and #2 really easy.

Making excuses
Blaming his team
Poor work ethic
Questionable priorities

Every aspect of his career so far has been controlled. The coaching, the school, the scheme, the other qb talent… Imagine having everything catered to you? Then you go interview with the Giants and they ask you to draw plays and explain schemes or concepts and you fail. They call you out on it. You double down on being defensive. Call them haters.

Will we see another Manziel flame out? How much film did Johnny watch? None.

I’m not sure it can be fixed. He will be out of the league in a couple of years. He’s got all of the money he needs and zero motivation.

The indications of entitlement and the "show me the money" attitude that were in the video are problem enough. But based on what's in this video, my guess is that if you had tape of the 10 minutes before this, you'd see him talking about his own greatness and then not backing it up.

While, I've expressed concerns about Ward's on-field performance at times, I haven't seen/heard any indication that he's prone to getting down on other players. Overall, he's seemed like a good teammate. But in this video, he seems pretty annoyed and he's definitely calling out Sanders. My guess is that Ward was tired of the trash talk and the entitled attitude and was trying to knock him down a peg. The fact that he got to that point by the end of the first drill tells me that either it was really bad, or that he's been hearing it for a while.

Either way...this is the kind of thing that the "expert" analysts don't see, but the scouts do. And it's why the scouts tell GMs not to pick a guy until they do it with minimal investment, and where they can cut bait if he doesn't grow up.

As to the Manziel-style flame-out....he is with the Browns, and they seem to attract a lot of those.

Ha. Apparently people are boycotting buying his jersey through NFL merchandise shops and buying directly through his site. I would think the NFL is entitled to a cut either way? but not entirely sure the details with the league and union. Who buys this dudes jersey and why do so many people in this country identify and sympathize with whiny entitled bitches?

Gotta think that any NFL-licensed merchandise - including any jerseys - still give the NFL their cut. Buying through Sanders' site probably gives the NFL a little more profit, since they don't even have to pay the shipping fees. Not that the people who would buy his jersey are likely to recognize any of that. They probably believe that he made all the jerseys himself.

In other news, the Browns have apparently decided one headcase isn't enough - they signed WR Diontae Johnson...who was traded, suspended, and waived twice last season. Three different teams (in one season) decided he wasn't worth the trouble and dumped him, but Cleveland is taking the chance on him.
