This from Oregonian/O-Live regarding a standout player in the Les Schwab Invitational, one of the top high school holiday tournaments in the country:

Standout freshman Marquis “Mookie” Cook racked up 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting in front of Oregon coach Dana Altman and Oregon State coach Wayne Tinkle, both of whom sat courtside at Liberty High School.

Cook is considered one of the best guards nationally in the class of 2023 and holds multiple Pac-12 offers, including one from Washington State, where teammate Nate Rawlins-Kibonge has orally committed.

No doubt the odds of actually landing Cook are small....especially since he won't be signing a LOI for three more years. But if Rawlins-Kibonge can somehow convince his friend and teammate......? A Cougar fan can always dream.
