Ok, now that we have all agreed on how mediocre (no let's go with shitty) our HC hire is, and how shitty his unexperienced D-II/FBS assistants are, let's turn to the QB position.
SDSU's record setting QB Gronowski has entered the portal for his last year. He may stay at SDSU, come to WSU, or enter the draft.
So what about Zevi? I assume that he will do the same. Enter the portal, and if Gronowski comes to WSU, which means he will be the guaranteed starter, Zevi goes.
This is at least somewhat of a bright light. We will have a decent to good QB next year either way. Aside from kind of rooting for Zevi, I have no real opinion here. Just hope that both QB's land somewhere and get a final year as starters. They both deserve it IMHO.
Oh, and below is a snippet from Brand X on the hire and assistants. Gibby, I look forward to your reaction to the historical comment from Jim Walden. Sorry the continuation of the article is behind the paywall.
"But assuming Rogers is at least bringing the coordinators and the positional coaches, let's take a look at the names Washington State fans should be getting to know. Fair warning: there's not a whole lot of Power 5 or Group of 5 representation on these resumes, but as Jim Walden used to say, "coaching football is coaching football no matter what level you're at."
