If social distancing is in place....
...it seems to me that the NCAA should basically say the 2020 full season is on pause and will resume in 2021. Meaning any "showcase" games that are on the books, will be postponed until the 2021 season. I.E. I want Houston to have to travel to Pullman.

I would then just play Pac-12 games on a delayed start. No non-conference games. 3rd week of September start.

I'd strongly consider neutral field locations - i.e. Century Link, so you can actually 40K fans in attendance, ever other row.

The 6 win rule obviously is out the door. I would also tinker with the idea of the first ever college football tournament. Start it in December, let it roll through January. Use the existing bowl sites, half filled anyway, as places to have the games.

Play in empty stadiums. Easy solution.

I fear that the revenue loss of no fans will be an issue....

It'll be a dip in revenue but TV is where the money is made. Gotta keep those dollars rolling in. The last thing the NCAA wants is media contracts getting renegotiated due to missing a year of programing.

I hate that idea, but I guess it's better than not playing the games at all.

I'd rather see a conference only schedule beginning late winter/spring 2021. No non-conference games. Play an 11-game schedule against every P12 team and then a hold a P12 championship game in Las Vegas.

Do you need a conference championship game if everyone plays each other though?

If it were possible to line up a PAC 12 vs Mtn West 12th game I'd watch. Let the champs play and then match everyone up based on record. Figure an equitable path for who gets the home games.

Im at the point where I don't care about what happens in the Midwest, East Coast or the South. I am 100% certain they don't care about the West Coast.

Take care of the West Coast programs and build their brands here.

Spring football messes up fall football for 2021 as it's a short turn around for another grueling 12 game season. You could probably push back basketball without serious consequences, but football would probably be toast.

One change - get the Big Ten to follow a similar model, and the 12th games are head to head at neutral sites. Play the Rose Bowl, and have neutral site games in Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, etc.

Sure. That works too.
