This is where the political side of this is so blurring. People hearing things they want to hear because it fits their narrative. What’s he supposed to say? It’s an incredibly difficult situation that wasn’t of Chuns choosing. Fact…there was no choice here but to move on. Fact…he’s now got to hire a new coach. Fact…he needs to keep Wazzu alums/donors behind the program. So in a press conference like this, you state the facts, and reassure folks that they will find the right coach and the program will be on solid footing. Stop reading into shit that isn’t there.

There's a big wide open country out there where people see things entirely differently than those living 50 miles from the Pacific coast. And that includes a lot of blue metropolitan areas who are navigating this in an entirely different manner than how Jay Inslee is conducting himself.
Interestingly the Dallas paper made more of how out of step and counter your coach was with the rest of college football. It pointed out how the big time names in the sport like Nick Saban and Dabo Sweeny are not only vaccinated , have their teams 100% vaccinated, but have also made public service announcements in their states to encourage people to get vaccinated.
