This is big time. The talent gets a little better almost every year. This team will make it back to the NCAA Tournament, and when it does, I think it will do it every year.

Coach has a pretty solid record with his recruiting so I’ll trust his judgment/ evaluation but I’ve seen Njile play twice and was under impressed. He is a very smart player which goes along way, I didn’t see great athleticism. Not a bad recruit but not a game changer. Similar to Rice.

They don’t need a game changer they need someone who can break a press and hit free throws at the end of the game

Adam Njie commits. Top 150!

I figured it was going to be about, around 49% to 67% chance WSU, Smith would get this kid, based on the reasons I outlined.

What a effin AWESOMELY HUGE GET, in BEATING OUT all the other programs, offers, etc.

It wasn't just this kids top 5, as almost every program in the country, including the blue bloods, wanted this kid, and this kid chose WSU, Smith, over them.

This kid is either THE BEST, or ALMOST THE BEST, GUARD, HS RECRUIT, COMING OUT OF HS, that WSU has EVER gotten, as far as star wise, Recruit Rankings wise, number of blue bloods after him, almost everybody wanting him, trying to get him wise.

Stuart House, etc, was better, but Stuart House, Guy Williams, etc, were Big Men, Post, Forwards, not guards.

Some might think Klay, Ike Iroegbu, Ike Fontaine, Dominic Ellison, Terrence Lewis, etc, were better, but they were not as highly ranked coming out of HS.

This kid has NBA POTENTIAL. Not saying he is guaranteed to make NBA, get drafted, lottery, one and done, etc, not saying any of that, BUT this kid does have the ON PAPER POTENTIAL, UPSIDE TO make, play in the NBA, be drafted, be drafted first round, be a lottery pick, his sophmore, junior, senior year.

The kid has NBA FREAKISH Athleticism, can jump out of gym, is EXPLOSIVE, is SPEEDY, QUICK, FAST, BREAKS ANKLES, JUKES, beats defenders off the dribble, and slashes past them, gets to basket, FINISHES, SCORES AT BASKET, IN CREATING HIS OWN SHOT.

He is a PURE SCORING MACHINE. HE HAS THE HIGHEST SCORING PER MINUTE, ETC, IN THE USA.

And his HC Hayes on his jersey in pic, is known for producing 4,5 stars, and NBA, etc, players

The kid is good enough to potentially start immediately as a freshman.

The kid is good enough that I hope the WSU Cougar Collective NIL fund, offers the kid a 167k NIL offer.

If Cam Ward was worth 100k and a Truck, then this kid worth about 159K and a truck.

This kid, assuming he doesn't get badly injured, etc, is good enough to get WSU to NCAA Tournament.

Smith is THE BEST DAM RECRUITER WSU HAS EVER EFFIN HAD.

WHAT A GET.

He’s a solid 3 star recruit who had some decent offers but certainly not everyone in the country wanted him including the blue bloods. Only power 6 offers I see are Illinois, Seton Hall and ASU. Not exactly blue bloods.

It’s been over a year since I last saw him play in Cali AAU tournament and a lot can happen in that time. Hopefully he comes in and lights the world on fire.

Oops I see Miami and Mississippi State were involved.

He is a 4, FOUR STAR, RIVALS 150. 99% of time, a 3 star does not make that Rivals 150 list.

1% of the time, 3 stars do make the list. The last 3 star WSU got that made that list was Harthun, a 3 star, and he was at the bottom of that list.

Njie is a 4 star on that list, and higher up on that list, and is ahead of where Klay a 4 star, Q, a 4 star, IKE a 4 star, Isabell a 4 star, were coming out of HS, recruit rankings wise.

The EXPERTS disagree with your post saying NJIE is unimpressive.

Follow the TWITTER TRAIL, LINKS, ETC, and that will lead you to tweets from experts, insiders in the know, talking about how many 4,5 stars, NBA PROSPECTS, etc, that have been produced by HC Hayes, and how that NJIE is one of the better of HAYE'S 4 stars.

You do realize Miami is a ACC bball conference program and that SETON HALL has been a on and off semi blue blood ish program in the BIG EAST conference.

And altho the rest of his top 5 isn't that good, he has gotten some pretty good semi blue blood offers that didn't make his top 5 list.

Also just because a college like a Kentucky doesn't officially offer, does not mean that they weren't interested.

Many of the Blue bloods were interested in NJIE, but they already had even better options, and because they didn't make his favorites list. Many blue bloods won't offer until, unless they make a players favorite list, so that they are not rejected, and so they are not rejected, beat out by a lesser program in public, thus possibly semi tarnishing their reputation.

Examples being Klay, JDL being pursued by Michigan, Ohio State, even tho they didn't officially offer.

Also keep in mind, that NJIE's freshman year in College will be in 2025, in about 2 years from now.

That means that you saw NJIE in grades 7,8,9, when he was not as developed as he is now, and is still developing, since you say it's been over a year since you saw him.

WSU, Smith, got in on NJIE early, earlier, back when others weren't interested, back when you saw him. That's why WSU/Smith got him.

But after that, NJIE developed, and is still developing, and more and more became interested.

NJIE has about 18 months left to develop further, and as that happens more and more colleges are going to offer him schollies, NIL, and his recruit ranking will probably go from 4, FOUR STAR, RIVALS 150, to 5 stars, Rivals 100, etc.

Also NJIE has the BEST PURE SCORING MACHINE SCORING EFFICIENCY STAT WISE IN THE USA, and THATS AS EITHER a HS SOPHMORE, JUNIOR.

Scary to think he can do even better then that during his upcoming junior or senior year.

The 3 stars start at the number 97th ranked player in the country on 247 , Njie is ranked 144th again a very solid 3 star.
Rivals has him at 126 and a 4 star. His ranking has been going in the wrong direction lately. He started at 103 on rivals and went to 126. Started at 128 on 247 and is now at 144. Glad to have him, just really wish you would learn from your past mistakes and quit over hyping recruits.

Part of the recruiting process now unfortunately is to keep guys in the program too. This is great news, hopefully we can start hanging onto these guys as upper class men. Not to be a Debby downer but It’s just hard to get excited about kids committing when I feel like the inevitable transfer portal post will come at some point. Sigh

Some more info about NJIE.

Some recruit rankers have dropped him a star from 4 stars to 3 stars, probably because he committed to WSU. So some rankers have him at 4 stars, some at 3 stars. Colton Clark is saying that some have him just barely by skin of teeth as a 3 star, and that he is Almost a 4 star.

That places him as a guard above Harthun, but below Klay, above IKE, etc.

The 9 points per game, 3 assist per game, 66% from field, 88% from Charity Line, 50% from 3 point line was when he played for 2 years at Phoenix Prep School, and in ELITE AAU, against ELITE Competition.

At Crawford Hayes Highschool, in the Bronx, NYC, NY, he averaged 14.5 ppg, 7.5 assist per game, 3 rebounds per game.

The kid has played, dominated THE BEST competition in New York, Phoenix Arizona, and in LA, etc, and HAS THE BEST OFFENSIVE EFFIENCY IN THE NATION.

Colton Clark and others are saying that NJIE will probably start, play a lot of minutes, and would probably start, play a lot of minutes no matter where, what college he would play at.

Clark and others are saying that NJIE has the ability to BREAK PRESSES, with his SUPERIOR, SUPREME Ball handling, and that his ability to beat defenders off of dribble, drive, get to basket, create own shot, score, is very good.

NJIE also has a very good Midrange jumper, a EXTREMELY GOOD 3 point shot, at 50% from 3(against the best in the nation), and 88% from freethrow line.

NJIE is 6-2 tall, extreme NBA jump out of gym athleticism, speed, quickness, so don't have to worry about NJIE having the lack of height problems of Roberts, Mike Flowers.

With NJIE's 7.5 ASSIST PER GAME, he should be able to dish out a lot of assist, create a lot of opportunities for other players at WSU.

NJIE should be able to beat out Darling, Rice, for either starting PG, or starting 2, SG, or as a 6th man, FIRST OFF the bench, lots of playing time, his freshman year

Yeah. Tho that's true, other players leaving WSU now, this year, is less likely now, at this LATE STAGE.

If players were going to leave they probably would have left at the times Bamba, Carlos, Rodman, etc, left.

Also it's not like WSU, Smith brought in NJIE earlier, BEFORE schollies became available.

In fact the ONLY reason Smith brought NJIE in this recruiting class for the 2024-2025 year, instead of having NJIE reclassify, was because he Smith was forced to because of Bamba, Rodman leaving, so Smith had to fill a empty scholly, empty roster spot, last second, because of players leaving.

Also since NJIE isn't coming to WSU until the 2024-2025 season, that doesn't affect anybody on the team this coming season.

Now Darling, Rice might leave in 2 years from now in their Redshirt Junior, Senior season, when NJIE either beats them out, for starter role as a freshman or plays a lot of minutes, but that's not this coming season, and if they are beat out by NJIE, then they are probably not the same tier, key, level of players transferring like Bamba, Rodman transferring.

I'm more worried about NJIE Transferring in the future then any others, so that's why I really hope the WSU Cougar Collective gives NJIE the same or better NIL Deal that Cam Ward got.

But yeah your right a good coach like Smith, needs to keep recruiting the players he already has to try to keep them, and needs to be able to immediately recruit, replace them, should they leave.

So far Altho Smith is not keeping his players, he is doing a awesome job of recruiting, replacing them.

Now all Smith needs to do is recruit either a Transfer Portal, JC transfer 6-9+ Big man to replace Gueye, in case Gueye doesn't withdraw from draft, and doesn't return.
