We have had more grad. transfers lately so I wonder if certain requirements have been relaxed but I would assume it's still more difficult to get into a grad. program at WSU than other programs. From my understanding athletes are required to go through the same application process as any other student. I think that's how it should be for all schools I don't believe it's the case for many other programs in the Pac 12. I would assume it's much easier at UA.Can't wait until he returns to Pullman to play. Sure hope UA gets the 2 year NCAA penalty! No post season.
Can't get into WSU Grad program. Guess UA is easier.
Oh good lord.
My guess is it was a GRE test score he couldn’t get over with a 3.48 GPA.We have had more grad. transfers lately so I wonder if certain requirements have been relaxed but I would assume it's still more difficult to get into a grad. program at WSU than other programs. Aren't Poli Sci grads the first ones to claim using test scores in admissions (especially during COVID) are unfair? My guess is it was a GRE test score he couldn’t get over with a 3.48 GPA.
Irony at its finest.Aren't Poli Sci grads the first ones to claim using test scores in admissions (especially during COVID) are unfair?
And Smith wanting to stay at tWSU.In the short term this is probably not that big a deal but I wonder the long term effect it could have on future grad transfer recruiting.
Or maybe it's a bunch of white dudes and gals in the Poli Sci Dept who resent the hell out of WSU's AD.Is there a subject specific GRE for poli-sci? Some of the subject ones can be pretty onerous depending on where the holes are in your Bachelor's education relative to what those tests cover, but the standard GRE isn't that much harder than the SAT if I remember right. All the same a 3.48 GPA should be good enough to get into plenty of grad programs
Most politicians are lawyers, their undergrad degrees vary pretty widely. Dedicated poli sci people are pollsters or people with a grounding in it that do history or something, I would assume. Maybe some extra cynical folks in marketingOr maybe it's a bunch of white dudes and gals in the Poli Sci Dept who resent the hell out of WSU's AD.
That faculty page was whiter than a Marv Harshman WSU team photo from the early 1960s.
Most famous (infamous?) politicians who attended WSU include Sen Patty Murray (PE) & Gov Mike Lowry (General Studies) who weren't from that dept.
