Posting about Coach replacements now only hurts whatever efforts the staff and players are working on, week after week ! Coach will get his first legit review after the season and early recruiting is finished ! NOBODY is getting canned mid season - stop with the destructive fantasy stuff !

You have no way of knowing that. We have essentially watched 4/7 games be total and utter collapses. Not, we battled and lost, but just total outright collapse in all phases. It’s nearly unheard of. Couple that with the players union stuff, vax stance, lawsuits… Rolos been nothing but bad news on and off the field since his first couple months on campus. This may be one of the rare cases where they have to make early work of him.

The Athletic Department is not in a financial position where the football coaching staff can be replaced. Absent Biggs making a donation equivalent to his talk on this message board.

The proof is right in front of you . Use your eyes and ears. This is not made up. We are seeing what we are seeing. Complete and utter collapse in the 2nd half of games. I’ve seen enough.

Ah yes, because recruiting so far is really killing it.

Feel for the players, but I'm eagerly awaiting basketball season.

Heard the money argument. We can’t fire him because we don’t have the money. The line is either dangerously close or on the other side for potential financial harm extending Rolo’s tenure can cause relative to the amount of the buyout. The altimeter towards apathy is spiraling into the ground. I would say 2/3-3/4 of the people I know who originally planned to go to multiple games called it after the USU game. They seen this before, they know the trajectory. This team goes 1-11 or 2-12 go ahead and project revenue for the next 2-3 seasons to be down 50%. Want to take a hit now or slow bleed this program into deep deep trouble?

If WSU doesnt have the $ for the buyout why did they offer a buyout this high in the contract???

Attendance doesn't do much for the bottom line. Selling tickets does. Even from 2009 to 2010 season ticket sales only fell about 1500.

Yeah, they’ve been spotted the last year and a half by people waiting to get back to normal, only to be shit on by pseudo-scandals and awful coaching. Who’s buying tickets after they go 2-10 with “the best talent” this program has had in years? And then the year after that at 2-10?

The more attractive home schedule for season ticket holders was in the "even" years when Oregon, USC and UW played in Pullman.

I’d say about 12,000 season ticket holders will, and that’s excluding the students. With a small stadium the opportunity cost is not that great. Cougs have proven they don’t support the team all that well even during the midst of the best runs in school history.

Leach’s last year they averaged about 29k. Average season ticket holders 12k. What is gonna happen to those 17k week of/matchup dependent tickets when we don’t compete? I know Rolo has to contend with Covid but his poor performance on the field likely won’t attract people back once they feel safe in the stadium. Will not be surprised to see <20k games as the norm for him from here on out.

Somehow, in some magical all-knowing way you have proclaimed the season over, the Staff a disaster and the team incapable of ANY further improvement ! Sure, dump the staff now ! Right ! IF you, in your divine way, want to see a REAL long term disaster, just pretend it ( canned ) to be ! BUT, consider the following ! You think ANY up and coming coach is going to contemplate an offer from Pullman ? Knowing the decades of recruiting challenges and failures, knowing the mid season teatment of this staff, knowing the financial shape of the athletic dept. ? You really believe that a mid season let go will somehow result in a top 20 recruiting class for next year ? Your "canned now" desire will clear up all players confusion and solidify the team ? What the **** is wrong with you ? !
You are light years detached from the reality of football at WSU ! Your wish will simply put the program in the furthest black hole in the football universe ! Just shut your hole and let the season play out. OR, have you seen the future and just know we are going to lose to the dogs ? ! So, how many times did Leach beat the dogs ?

Guys come out of the woodwork for $3,500,000. Acting like no one will come and coach at WSU is ridiculous. WSU has a lot going for it. The program has had much more success than a lot of other league schools in the past 25 years. Where are the Rose Bowls, Heisman finalists, Outland Trophy winners for Cal, Utah, Colorado, Oregon State, Arizona, UCLA, etc???? Wtf have these programs done that is so GD awesome in the past 25 years to be awarded a better reputation than WSU???

Is firing a coach mid season what any schools wants? No. At the same time you can’t keep rolling guys out there and get pounded 45-14.

Kids arent dumb. They know when they have a turd coach. If WSU keeps this losing up you will see a mass exodus head for the door. And why would kids stay??? If they aren't having a good experience why stay?

He was hired to win games. He isn’t. For $3,200,000 he is a big boy and doesn’t need people coddling him. Win. The end. Or go coach Juco softball where whoever has the most fun wins.

Dude, relax. I don’t think anyone actually thinks he’s getting fired tomorrow morning. “Fire him NOW!” is just angry fan venting. Been going on at every school since forever.

Fire now is going on at a lot of schools right now, WSU isn't the only one. I highly doubt any firing will happen this year, the only wild card being the covid vaccination status.

Just reported that he has not been vaccinated to date. That puts Moderna out of the question. Could still get a pzifer or J&J technically.

You're confusing attendance with paid ticket sales. They are not the same thing.

Not everyone is Biggs. Thousands of people buy tickets and RV passes because they like to tailgate and make 5-6 trips to Pullman in the fall. The erosion of actual sales will be gradual, not sudden. History has proven that.

A guy that has a better resume that Rolovich had in December 2019?

Maybe I’m still wrong here, correct me if I am. I’m just assuming the tickets sold that aren’t season tickets are more dependent on quality of product and or matchups. Using attendance as a rough estimate of amount of tickets sold for each game, minus # of season tickets, roughly shows game by game purchases right?

Cannot get Pfizer. "Fully vaccinated" means two weeks past the final dose. J&J is the only alternative, and is only viable until October 4.

Those don't sell anyway. That's why the cheap seats are empty. WSU's ticket sales were $8.4 million in 2018 (that's for all sports), most recent actual sales number. That's less than 13 percent of total revenue. I'm willing to bet Biggs' vast fortune (both dollars) that the projected increases are from price increases rather than increased sales.
