Amazing Cougar Weekend- the Oregon win was the least of it

Although the Oregon win was fantastic and seemingly impossible even a month ago, the reality is that they are an unranked team with gaping holes that will likely be exploited by every team in the league going forward. I'm actually just as psyched by the crushing win over #5 ASU by volleyball, and the back-to-back shut-outs of Utah and Colorado on the road by the woman's soccer. Although 98% of our focus is on football, D1 volleyball and soccer are far more competitive, with twice as many D1 soccer teams and three times as many D1 volleyball teams as there are D1 football teams. In particular, the fact that women's soccer is ranked and #2 in the PAC12 with the mind-boggling turnover in coaching they have experienced is just astounding. They have a brutal 3 game home-stand coming up- I'm sure the lower field will be rocking.

Yeah I read about those wins this morning. Pac-12 Volleyball is just a murderer's row - 2/3 of the league must be ranked.

As I mentioned on another thread, there are two VB games and a soccer game in Pullman this weekend. Anybody in the RV lot or spending the obligatory two nights in a motel has an opportunity to attend a couple of them and should do so. Enjoy yourself while giving our ladies some support and a show of appreciation.
