.. recruit. Ryan Murphy 6' 2 combo guard transferred from Charlotte to New Mexico JC. He averaged 6.7 pts per game in 19.9 mins and shot 40 % from 3 pt land in his first year.. He has been offered by Texas Tech,E Carolina ,WSU and several mid schools. I am underwhelmed by this guy so far

I expected to agree with you based on your post and I'm not saying he's exactly a game changer. Still, if his highlights are at all indicative of his shooting (just highlights, I know) he has a lot of range, seems to play hard, has some ability to penetrate (no idea whether at P5 level), pass, and maybe good IQ. Seems like a decent replacement for Daniels and he has a Texas Tech offer.
I prefer high school and we need some bigs but he seems like a solid get.

He is somewhat small and he is probably about 6'1 180 pds. The cougs do not need a "replacement for Daniels". They need better players. i doubt that Daniels could start at any other PAC 12 school. He should be a key reserve on the team. There are better recruits out there.Of course,they have to be recruited and signed.

There's a lot better players out there and agree we don't need to replace Daniels per se. We have Ali in any event who maybe ends up in a tandem with Robinson.
What I guess I am getting at is that it's basically September and I haven't seen where even a visit has been reported from one of those "a lot better players out there". Maybe it hasn't been reported, still in the works, or maybe our targets are waiting to make a decision until the spring. Murphy's a plan B type of guy but by our standards I wouldn't call him a bad fallback if that's what it comes to.

They need to recruit a couple of "targets". This guy would be a good addition to a couple of highly rated players.I would consider him to be a solid addition.
I like the incoming class. I wonder if anyone has seen any of the practices? The last word word weeks ago was that the practices are closed.
