I was just thinking today about the initial QB situation in Jacksonville between Foles and Minshew. We all know that Foles started that season and was injured in the first game. Gardner took over and Foles never got his job back because Gardner was obviously the better man for the job. Foles goes to the Bears and makes his first start (since his injury) this past weekend against the Hawks. He brings the Bears back and beats the Hawks. It just goes to show you how good Minshew really is and what he is capable of. If he had a more well-rounded & structured team like Chicago to play for, imagine what he could do. Maybe I am just too much of a fanboy of his but man, I sure hope he gets his chance.

I agree. I think he deserves a shot. I wish the Seahawks would take him in. Would be a huge local hero. Russ isn't going to be in his spot forever and Aaron Rodgers didn't start from day one....

I think he would be a great fit in Seattle's offense. Not sure he'd be a great fit in Seattle.

Agree -- have been saying this since he got in the league. Even in that terrible situation he was in after replacing Foles, he immediately elevated his team and performed well. It was plain as day and born out in the numbers, even though he was running around for his life on most plays. Same thing last year, even on a team designed to lose. Has long seemed clear that in a situation that at least was decent, he could be a capable NFL starter. Combine that with how cheap he is / was, and a smart team that otherwise is set up to succeed could do very well with him. I just hope he gets that legit chance at some point.
