It was nice knowing you Russell Wilson. Looks like your job is in jeopardy.
Is there no back up in Seattle? ESPN doesn’t list anyone behind Russell.
Geno Smith was the backup QB last season. But, he is currently a free agent. So, the Seahawk do not have a backup right now.Is there no back up in Seattle? ESPN doesn’t list anyone behind Russell.
At the very least, if he shows anything, he will be on the practice squad. Most teams only carry two QB's on the roster due to the limited roster spots. So, a lot of them carry the third QB on the practice squad.Unless they bring in a more sure thing veteran backup, he has a real chance.

Carroll likes pocket passers, he just got lucky that he has a mobile qb who can also stand in the pocket and deal when the OL allows it. We're not running a lamar jackson offense, its pound the ball and then stretch the field. Question is, can AG stand tall and deliver dimes at NFL speed?I don’t like the fit here at all. Carroll has always preferred a Russell Wilson lite option as the backup, and Gordon is the polar opposite of that.
First thing that needs to be fixed with Gordon is his feet and stepping up into the pocket. The guy has a crazy fast release and can throw darts from any arm angle but as soon as he feels uncomfortable he wants to run out of the pocket to his right. I think that’s fixable with the right coaching...If he figures that out he could be lethal.Carroll likes pocket passers, he just got lucky that he has a mobile qb who can also stand in the pocket and deal when the OL allows it. That and he doesn’t use the whole field. If he doesn’t learn to use the left side, and cut down his reliance on his favorite 1-2 receivers, he has zero chance of staying in the NFL.First thing that needs to be fixed with Gordon is his feet and stepping up into the pocket. Another thing to consider. When you know you need to score damn near every drive to win, the risky throws that turn into picks need to be viewed in that light. Gordon’s got his issues but in an offense where the coach can call a run from the sideline and he doesn’t need to score every drive, he might be really good. Not sure there’s a guy in the NFL who has a quicker release.Bingo. But I will say like with Connor, those players will be helped by a more conventional running game. Could you see a scenario where Gordon only has to make 5 or six critical throws instead of 38?
