I've pretty cynical about college football the last decade or so and try to do my part and not add to the ratings of the big bullshite games. Every year I root for the committee to do something that will cause this 4 team joke to get blown up. I can think of nothing better than ND getting left out with no losses and having them throw a tantrum for the next 12 months. Added bonus is ND getting screwed always brings a smile to my face.

You want to see an uproar. Put a 2 loss Georgia team in.

As much as I loath the SEC, it would be awesome and their people are already lobbying for it.
I'm astonished at the hubris of that conference. There's no way you can even think about keeping up in that conference if you're not Alabama/Georgia/LSU without massively bending the rules. It seems as though they've all signed a silent pact to not rat each other out and the conference "office" is on board. It's gotta be one of the biggest cartels around. I can't believe the PAC/B1G/Big12 haven't banded together to take their legs out yet.

I [also] graduated from UGA and made a $20-and-some-cookies bet with a diplomatic Alabama grad neighbor and his Florida-grad wife that they would leave us out (as they should). It would be a scandal; I don't know how they would put UGA in.

Would not surprise me to see Georgia stay in. That would save the committee from deciding between Oklahoma and Ohio state.

My expectation at the moment is that it’ll be Oklahoma, Georgia, and Ohio state at 4-5-6. OU avenged their only loss and beat a solid Texas team. Ohio state is letting an 8-4 team that should be overmatched hang around. Georgia has a legitimate claim, since their only losses are to top 10 teams, but they have two, and we already know Alabama is better than them.

I don’t like this expectation, since including OU slams the door on the Cougs...but that’s what I see happening.

1 Alabama
2 Clemson
3 Notre Dame
4 Oklahoma

Based on the metrics of 1) resume and 2) how well is a team playing, these four a clearly ahead of all others and specifically in this order. This is an easy year for the committee.

Nor should they be. No the CFP has it right till about 8. Florida, LSU, and Ped State being ahead of us is a joke and everyone knows it.

The reality is no one really cares about much beyond the top 4 and the 2 or 3 on the outside trying to make a case to get in.

I predict the same order, followed by Georgia and Ohio State. Both of them will scream about it, but I think that 4 is defensible.

That means the following:
Cotton: Alabama v. Oklahoma
Orange: Clemson v. Notre Dame
Sugar: Georgia v. Texas
Rose: Ohio state v. UW

My guesses:
Peach: Michigan v. LSU
Fiesta: UCF v Florida

Us and Penn state get left out.. We get Alamo against Iowa State.

It’s the CFPs job to care. And get it right. They ultimately control what teams are In these top bowls. And they failed.
