Fire everyone. This is lack of institutional control and violation of public health orders during a pandemic which are enough for the ncaa to give them the death penalty.

ASU needs to fix their mess and quickly.

What a mess. Imagine having to hire a new HC and staff in July? One month until fall camp, spring ball has past, everything that was taught is now irrelevant. What if you’re an incoming recruit?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they fired the staff and AD office.

They have to fire AD as well IMO. He allowed that other jackass underling to run wild with the football team. Herm has to go too.

I’m surprised there haven’t been firings already, but I suppose the school has to cover their ass and conduct their investigations.

The NCAA should send a message here but they won’t. They are pussies and haven’t taken strong action in decades.

Bet the same stuff happened in the SEC. They’re just better at cheating and likely didn’t have a single dissident in their athletic departments 😁.

ASU isn't in the club. No political clout. The NCAA is free to make an example of them. Pac-12 too.

Of courses, David Shaw is the sanctimonious holier-than-thou scolding authority.

Bad on ASU but Shaw is a condescending smug a$$. Who cares whether you're offended? Grow a pair.

Maybe Keyshawn has inside info, but it seem a stretch that Mawae could gather the reported pictures, paperwork, dates, times, etc. by himself while not employed by ASU.

Also, if what Keyshawn says is true Mawae must truly hate Edwards and his staff (those that look like him?). Seems like a lot of effort on Mawae part if it was being disgruntled over loosing a job.

Im not surprised this happened when the AD is a former agent.

The university admin is jammed up. They have to clean house. Then who do they hire first? The AD or the HC? They essentially have maybe 6-7 weeks to make these 2 hires and then fill out a staff. Good luck.

Wow- couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.
I've always hated ASU. They really never belonged in the PAC10/PAC12. We just needed them as Arizona's rival. Academically they are on par with the University of Phoenix or Grand Canyon State. In all seriousness, Colorado State has more to offer from an academic standpoint.

Cheaters.
You gotta think that some of these guys are going to be fired for cause, right? Maybe not the AD but the others that were knowingly breaking the rules and putting the program at risk? If these were Cougs and we gave them a dime my CAF donations would cease.

ASU isn't Harvard, but you might want to check academic rankings for WSU and ASU, respectively, before spouting off. This is some Biggs-style ignorant bluster.

Maybe so, but I agree 100% with what he said. Booster cheating is one thing, but when an AD and an entire coaching staff willfully disregard the most universally accepted recruiting rules, it’s housecleaning time.

Herm Edwards isn’t a young man. He knew better, and he didn’t care. That’s offensive.

Herm made a choice to cheat and risk the consequences. We’ll see if he made the right choice.

I think Shaw is a smug F as well but thinking back to the pandemic and Stanford being banned from playing football in Santa Clara County for over a month while living out of a suitcase and I can see why there would be some animosity.

Wasn't that the case at EWU in 2007 and our AD (assisted by a former coach on the WSU broadcast crew) hired the almost EWU football staff despite the pending NCAA sanctions?

If Herm and crew survive the next week or two they probably ride this out. They seem to be circling the wagons well.
