Beavs lose to WOU

Beavers will really struggle this year. The leading returning scorer averaged about 4 ppg last year. Tinkle held open tryouts and got a couple of walkons who will probably have to play some serious minutes this year. Nonetheless, he has a chance to instill a work ethic that can carry over to next year when a great recruiting class arrives. It will be interesting to see which program, OSU or WSU, is further along in 3 years. I'm pretty sure Tinkle is a better coach than Craig Robinson, despite the loss to WOU.

My comment is directed toward OSU.

These games don't mean anything.
The only reason this game doesn't mean anything is because it tells us something we already know. OSU is really, really bad. Much worse of a situation than we are in.

Re: Ducks beat WOU

by 49 points, and they only have 3 players on scholarship, the Beavs may be historically bad

I agree that we will be really bad, but the Ducks have 8 scholarship players, not 3. Plus uo returned their best player who made the all-Pac team along with Elgin Cook. Their freshman recruits were highly ranked.

We only have 1 scholarship recruit from last year's class in Gary Payton II on the roster.
