Picked up from other board. He is 6'7-230 PF from Kansas . He just reclassified to 2018 and is a four star forward, His final three include Illinois, Seton Hall and WSU.He has planned visits to all colleges. It is interesting that the cougs are trying to recruit at a higher level now that their ace recruiter has departed. Now all the cougs need are for the same idiots to bash Kent s program when he comes for his visit The program bashers seem to look for any reason or time to pile on.

When I searched he comes up as a SG/SF. Reminds a bit of Gittens but maybe he's more Bernstine? Seems to have a lot more offensive potential than Bernstine.

Illini appear to be the favorite but hopefully we do get him in for a visit. Would obviously be a big get.

Yes he is a big time player. Missouri would be the odds on favorite if he opens up to other schools. One hopes he stays with his top three but it is hard to compete with Missouri and all the headlines and other talented players recently recruited there. However he already has offers from Clemson ,Fla State,Miami and Wichita State and many other schools. So the staff has done a great job of being included in his top three.

The answer if course,is no. However i will wager that the lead recruiter was not Allen. Care to make a wager on that?

Going after the 4 star kids is fine, landing them is better. Don't care who the lead guy is if we get this player.

Is this kid related to our Hinson

Agree. There is no prize for finishing second.

Someone on the other board asked if there was a relationship with Kwinton Hinson. Interesting if there is something to it.

Kwinton played HS ball in North Carolina and Las Vegas and Blake orginally in South Florida so don't think there is a direct relationship. Blake has an older brother Evan who is a junior on the football team at S Carolina and the two both played HS basketball for their father.

Regarding recruiting, Curtis didn't normally recruit that geographical area so probably Seltzer. Hopefully Bennie does a better job than Greg Graham did - not sure he ever brought in anyone, maybe Davante Cooper.

Allen leaves having recruited the three best returning players on the team and it would have been the four best if 4 star Gittens had qualified. I'll be surprised if Ernie can bring in an upgrade (recruiting wise).

No clue who Kent brings in but I think we have to hope Seltzer and Haskins can pick up the slack. Would like someone with ties to California.

It would be helpful if the new hire will bring a top player along with him. Perhaps Hinton may be a bring along recruit? A player like Hinton can name which school he wants to attend. There is no slack to pick up. What needs to happen is for the the coaches to take the recruiting to a higher level by bringing in better prospects.Allen has now found a school which will welcome what he brings to the table, for as long as that coaching trio lasts .

It looks like Hinton has expanded his" final three". He is scheduled to visit Old Miss in the near future. Also as pointed out, Missouri is now in the picture. I will not hold my breath on this one unless the cougs have an unseen connection.

He would be a huge get,It is hard to imagine beating out Missouri with their staff and great
recruiting success for a four star rated player

Getting a visit is big and we are his final visit. We can sell playing time and a prominent role. Agree on beating Mizzou for Hinson but at least we are in it.

The college basketball world and negative posters would be shocked if he commits to the cougs. However, I really do not expect it

The other board just posted that Hinson is now visiting Pullman It was reported that Hinson was very impressed by Coach Counzo Martin and Missouri on his very recent visit there. It is a very long shot on landing him.

On the twitter Hinson made a comment about liking Martin's approach to defense and style. He didn't shutdown recruiting so we still have a shot however small that might end up. He's looking to make his decision by May 5th.

Yes he has also made the comment that he liked the cougs offensive style. He liked that they are a 3 pt shooting team.

After looking at the available roster space of the schools supposedly after him, it probably comes down to WSU and Missouri. Oklahoma doesn't seem to be after him, Seton Hall and Illinois look full, Ole Miss just landed a player with almost identical dimensions. If Hinson wants an offense where he can fire away from deep, this seems like a good fit.

All about winning in recruiting. We have finished second on some good players. Didn't help much did it.

Hinson decision May 7th per someone out there who later corrected his tweet to *Washington State.

I wonder if Kent will be bringing in any more 2108 recruits to visi?. There is 6'7 wing Aguir Agua still out there. I also wonder if 7'1 250 James Hampshire is eligible for the 2018 class?
