Blanchette is all in on Dickert

"I'm humbled and honored to have this opportunity. I really am, I'm truly blessed ... I know going forward that they deserve the best and that's what's going to come out of all this. I know it. Whether that's right for me, we'll find out that soon enough. I'm just excited for this moment tonight and excited for the players," said Dickert, who went on to add the next steps are "out of his hands."

Obviously some risk hiring Dickert, but there’s risk with anyone when it comes to Pullman. He really seems to get it. Look at His Twitter. He’s got 3 kids in the 6-10 ish age range. Nothing guaranteed but he’s the profile of who could be a 10+ year coach for WSU. Pull the trigger Chun.

Don’t know how Dickert will do recruiting and that is my only concern, they are still short 3 or 4 assistants, so hopefully they can find 2-3 with recruiting chops. As for the rest he gets an A in my book, the team has gone into all 5 of the games with all phases well prepared, with a good game plan. And they seem to be organized, no panic during games. Plus he has the players believing in themselves and in him. A lot of that credit has to go to team leadership as well. I think Pullman fits him, hard to find that as well.

In my mind, Blanchette’s endorsement is the strongest reason to not give it to Dickert.
Eh a broken clock is right twice a day. This isn’t a hard decision and I expect with how active Chun was with the flurry of extensions we will see this get done in the next few days. Especially since it’s looking like no P12 CG to prepare for

The broken clock analogy is perfect! Well done! Wish I would have thought of that....!

That's my biggest concern as well - MUST be able to maintain and improve the recruiting. Bring in a couple strong assistants to focus on that.
