Either he was being told to start looking or he's trying to use this move as a platform to get a college HC job.

Never been impressed with him, he could not figure out how to use Tavon Austin and failed to do much with the Sanchize. I'm thinking Fisher told him to look around.

He should do better at Georgia. Had a lot of nice pieces at STL but they had no Plan B at QB, and it's hard to win without a serviceable QB. Just ask Arizona.

He's apparently a good recruiter, and going to a team which is more advantaged than anyone in the East, and most in the West, will be just what the doctor ordered for a marginal OC like Schottenheimer. Here's to another 10 years of narrow misses.
