If he got his first shot I'm glad for him. Now how about growing a pair and announcing it so it doesn't continue to be such a negative distraction? Then we can just focus on his poor judgement on the field.
It may take years to fully appreciate the cost of his little vax game. It turned a lot of people off, and you combine that with a team that is going to struggle for years, and you are looking at a lot of empty seats and budget shortfalls.
The “distraction” angle is insincere. It’s a total non-factor. It’s basically just an ID badge showing where your vax politics are.
What’s a factor is: head-scratching recruiting, scheme, playcalling, personnel decisions, and game management.
As if to say "it had nothing to do with the vaccine thing", but because of .....then the list starts. Good politics on your part Chip. Gets everyone off the hook.

What we're seeing is why I wrote the "Rolo should STFU and get vaccinated" post, which pissed off a lot of people I usually have no issues with. It's not that I necessarily buy into it being fair or right that anyone should be forced to be vaccinated (which is a distinct issue from how one feels about what factors should play into a choice whether or not to get vaccinated). It's because of the recruiting / PR implications for WSU and the football program and it being virtually certain, even at the time, that he would be forced to eventually.
