Just don't care for the play calling and side line reporter. Part of the problem is that when he gets excited he gets confusing. Another part of the problem is all the advertising he has to sneek into the play calling. And the side line gal sounds like she is " Ed Morrow " broadcasting during the London blitz. So, is this the best we can get when we are a 2nd or 3rd rate football program ?

Chazz struggles with yardage and where the ball is in football. He is basketball first guy.
He is OK, wasn't thrilled about another Syracuse clone but he is better than initial fears.

Coaches show Learfield Communication ran an a for Oregon's game instead of WSU's

He’s OK. He gets confused and overly excited. People love Raible with the Hawks and I can’t stand him. I think he’s really bad for NFL standards. He’s terrible at letting you know clock, yardage gained and among other things. But they love his excitement. I think Brink is really good.

I think WSU wanted a guy that could all the teams. Chaz does that.

I like Chaz and have zero issues with him. I agree about Raible. He is great on the exciting play or a TD, because he can convey the excitement. So, when you hear a highlight reel, he sounds great.

But, in many games listening to him on the way back from Pullman, you have no idea where the ball is, the time, etc. It is so frustrating listening to him call a game.

I agree. Brink has an amazing talent and skill for being a color analyst. So does Jed Collins. Alex Brink is very good, and wouldn't surprise me if his main income ends up in broadcast, (at a higher level someday), while maintaining his American Football Brand....t-shirts and hoodies' business.

Brink is very insightful, doesn't act like a homer, and doesn't talk over the top of Chazz. He's one of the better color analysts I've heard in my 60+ years of listening to games on the radio. (Still miss BobRob in a big way!)

Glad Cougar

Rare is the guy who could possibly do both color and play by play. I think Alex could probably do either. Maybe Jed, as well. The guys who could possibly do both are generally better able to key off the other guy. I used to enjoy Cosell a lot, but sometimes Frank Gifford had to reel him back in, and any game featuring Cosell was more about Cosell than the game for at least a portion of every broadcast. I think Alex and Jed could work either position with the goal of being informative about the game, rather than grandstanding with the game as a prop.
