Should be ready to go by the Rutgers game ...when he'll be needed. He's like three times better than your average Shawn.
Which is good, because the last staff only recruited LeShawn's, which is like, half a Shawn, maybe.
With Broughton, Luani, Parker, Molton, and Green joining the returning DBs, the numbers are better than they've been in years. Luani, Parker, and Molton have made a big impression so far. We'll see soon enough how they do in actual games, but the signs are encouraging.
Good news on Broughton and hopefully he is cleared to play when he gets to town. Disappointing Hameed has been seen in street clothes during fall camp but encouraging T. Taliulu has seemed to play better and become a leader in fall camp. Without Hameed though we are pretty thin at safety.
Depth is looking better at all positions. Even our place kicking situation is competitive.
White has missed time at corner too. He and Hameed had their moments last season. Hameed has fought the injury bug quite a bit.
I think Hameed will redshirt this year. He's hardly practiced this fall. If White can't go, I hope they redshirt him as well. He showed to be one of the more gifted corners we've had in a long time.
White has very good closing speed. I think he'll return for this season. He's already practicing again, I believe. Hameed, I'm not sure about.
I have heard rumblings about surgery scheduled for Hameed. Cannot remember the source and do not know the veracity of the rumors but this would be a considerable disappointment if true. We are still building quality and depth in the backfield and are nowhere near the point where a potential starter can be lost without large consequences.
Wasn't C. White the one with the mild concussion in Lewiston and removed from practice as a precautionary move? If so, he should be fine. We really need him at CB. Without him we are left with very little experience at that position.

yeah White will be fine to play this year Hameed may possibly be out for the year, but we'll be okay. We have a lot of youth in the secondary and a lot of players that will only get better as the season goes on. Grinch is doing an excellent job improving the secondary technique by all accounts. In two years the secondary may be our strongest unit on defense.
