The athleticism of the team has clearly taken a step forward. 3 pick offs, two with a run down? Even for a LH pitcher, that is nice to see at this point in the season. Some nice defensive plays. But it wasn't all defense...any time you can squeeze 4 runs out of 5 hits, you are doing something right. Good fundamental baseball.

Finally, I enjoyed the post game interview with Lees. That is a coach whose thought process is pretty visible from his responses to questions...and the questions were good.

I won't be surprised if we win 8-10 more than last year, and with a young team. The future looks good!
