BSB: Cougs host Apple Cup rivalry starting today

Game 1 today at 3 p.m. PT. No P12 Tourney, so this weekend should end the season unless they sweep UW and get an unexpected at-large berth to NCAA Tourney.

I had hoped the season would go better, but we have the chance to finish strong. And nothing helps a strong finish by making it at the expense of UW.

Next year we need some incremental improvement across the board, particularly in bread and butter fielding (where the improvement needs to be more than incremental).

For now, I'm looking at this weekend for a strong finish. A sweep would go a long way toward looking forward to next season.
