CFB TV Ratings: Cougs vs. Wisconsin #4 (3.92M) viewers

Good news. Mass appeal has some value.

Wow. This must mean that we now have a band wagon!

:cool::cool::cool::rolleyes:

Good news from a revenue and validation standpoint....thanks for sharing this.

Its great that WSU is in a game with that many viewers, and ends up 3$ on the list. However the week before Idaho/WSU doesn't even show up on the list. Idaho/Indiana had just over 1 million viewers last week. Speaks volumes about the draw of the Big 10, as much as I hate saying that.

That, or maybe Idaho does not draw as much for a game that that the fans believe is not a potential win or rivalry game....

I don't think this list follows the Pac-12 network. It appeared blank in the past as well. Why? I don't know.

I think the ratings draw is Pac-12 vs. Big-10. Some of the other Big-10 matches were far lower in the ratings (see Penn St. as an example).

Wiscy is a smaller market Big-10 school so the draw had to be the match up and the game.

All the more reason why the notion of 2 super conferences will never come to fruition in my opinion. Fans want to see the underdog (Cougs) win. It's why the NCAA tourney is so popular. I think the Texas vs. Bama game was so high as that game was close. (I only watched part of it for that reason).

Will be curious to see how Oregon WSU do in the exact same time slot in two weeks. Suppose it depends what game is in the morning time slot too, doesn’t get much bigger than Texas/Alabama, probably a fair amount of hangers on from that.

Way more viewers than the ND and USC matches and crushing the Big-12 FS1 match up (and OT shootout) of TTU and Houston.

I would think that following mega match-up Alabama vs Texas on Fox had to help too.

By the way, I have enjoyed Huard as color commentator over the years (and thought of him as one of the best), but found him kind of annoying on Saturday. Anyone else have that same take?

Huard is an insufferable douche.

Really? I like him too…and I HATE everything UW. I enjoy watching games he broadcasts I tell my UW friends he’s a closet Coug and he wished he would have gone there. Always found him to be very complimentary of the Cougs.
Nearly everything he says about WSU is a backhanded slight.

Huard has grown since he first started. I felt he was very anti and negative towards WSU in the past. Now, I think he's a little more pro-Coug and less biased. I think Leach opened him up a little bit to like WSU. If he does the Oregon game, I think he'll be a little more Coug friendly.

He mixes with a lot of Huskies and Cougs in his day to day life. He’s been doing it long enough I think he appreciates the fact that a random group of Cougs is a helluva lot more fun to hang out with then a random group of huskies. I don’t think he likes the stuffiness and arrogance of Montlake. He’s a good dude and he’s genuine.

The only thing with this, if he's at Fox, Klatt seems to be their #1 guy and they are relatively close in age.

NBC is going to set their B-10/ND games up like Sunday Night Football. Brock could get a shot at being the #1 guy at a new network.

I knew that we'd have pretty good numbers but I was a bit surprised for us to be #4. What's really amazing is that 10.6 million watched Bama vs Texas at the expense of South Carolina vs Arkansas. Hawgs vs chickens only drew 1.5 million.
