Wichita St transfer would be eligible to play next Spring if he transferred to Pullman. Most likely using his redshirt year and would have 3 1/2 years of eligibility.

Great, another malcontent transfer wing. Should fit right in in EK's Pullman. I've seen his height listed from 6'5" to 6'9". Probably closer to 6'4". He did average 0.8 ppg at Wichita St (4 games, 20 minutes) before deciding he's just too good for that program.

Saw Moore following WSU hoops so I wondered. Philip Pepple Jr (Shoreline/JC) is as well. There is also a Jordan Walker following but he transferred last spring to Tulane (from Seton Hall) so it's not always a science.

What about Roberto Gittens (if eligible)?

Chance Moore was rated a four star recruit by ESPN during his senior year. However he only averaged 16 points a game during his senior year. The Shocker fans said his lack of playing time was a result of him not wanting to play defense which is a must for Wichita State s coach. Perhaps he will flourish in Pullman because Kent s teams do not play defense:)

Ernie could save a ton of budget by just going to the NWAAC tourney in Tri-Cities and offering the top 5 scorers.

NWAAC overall level of competition in all sports is so bad these days, even if he spots somebody worthwhile it will take them a year to adjust to the weak Pac 12 (or WCC, take your pick)

Team competition isn't great - but there are players who could easily fill out the roster.

It's definitely not like when WWCC had Ricky Pierce and a bunch of other cats from the South.

So are Henson, Johns and Murphy.i still think that Kunc is going to be a very good player.

Elleby is the best freshman we’ve had in a while and will have a nice career if We can keep him. Cannon has really started to impress me of late. Kunc will continue to improve and be solid down the road. Imo Ali is more of the same from past years, quite frankly he drives me nuts, everybody stands around and watches him dribble, worst point guard we’ve had in a long time that has played significant minutes. We run no offense, play no defense.... I’m sorry but Kent has to go, sooner the better.

Ali reminds me of Bryan Rison. Biggest problem is we will only get one really good year out of him.

Havent seen evidence of guys with upside not developing under Kent, or Bone before him. Problem is not enough guys with upside coming in to the program over the past 10 years .

I don't think we can afford to turn down former 4* players even if they need managing. I wonder how this all seemed to come together so quickly?

Believe it or not the staff does work their arses off in trying to recruit better talent to Pullman

The staff might. Ernie doesn't.

I lived on the AAU circuit for years. Ernie was never there. Few, Romar, Verlin, Tinkel, every D-2 coach in the NW..sure. Canadian coaches. Never Ernie.

Only time I ever saw him was at the state tournament a few years back buying a hot dog. As I recall, he didn't ink anybody from that event either.

Of course you know that that is the lot of the assistant coach. Ernie s main problem was in initially hiring older coaches who did not have the stamina and drive to be good recruiters The product has definitely improved over the last two years. Place blame but give credit where credit is due.

I think the staff changes have really turned around recruiting as well. I saw last years class as a "Bennett-type" group of players mostly put together in the spring. I haven't seen many really railing on recruiting lately.

Back to my original statement I'm just wondering how this came together so quickly and how long it was in the works. As far as I know we weren't involved when he was in high school. Chidom leaves and then we get a mid-year transfer is interesting. We still have one to give for next year but probably weren't going to allocate it to a wing.

PG has been the WSU nemisis for the last two coaches. Cost Bone his job and Ernie has yet to sign nor develop one. Know the staff is working on it, but they are hard to evaluate and hard to sign.

Wonder what’s the story on Chance Moore? Haven’t seen an announcement from the school and classes started today.
