Chun hires new CAF director

AD Pat Chun announced on Pullman Radio Morning News that he has hired Mitch Straub as Senior Assistant AD for the Cougar Athletic Fund. Straub is the Associate Director of Development at Ohio State, and Chun worked with him at OSU. Chun praised Straub for his skills as a fundraiser.

Hmm. I think I will copy and paste the list of current CAF people (link below) and compare it in a few months. Note that Bo Moos is one of them. Straub is already listed at the top, CAF is way down below. Don't know if he replaced someone, or if this is a new position......

People tend to hire those they know and trust. That rings true across most industries. If I were staffing a position such as this, I’d certainly favor someone I’m familiar with.

I don’t know anything about him, but on the surface, I don’t have a problem with Ohio State football pedigree. Let’s give Chun a chance. It wasn’t his fault Moos left.
