Was an interesting statement to make before a season begins. In my opinion it was an intentional statement that put Rolovich on notice. I could care two sh*ts less about the vaccine thing, this is purely based on his coaching performance. He is doing a very poor job. Rolo hung his hat on #18 coming in and being the guy. He is not a good QB. I've lost all confidence in this staff to lead thisn

Rolo is gone. There are so many repetitive posts about getting rid of him, and I don’t know anyone who thinks he’s going to survive the year.

2019 was a bowl year. And there were games pissed away on that schedule. Could have been upwards of 10 wins.

What has he done with the program since??? He took over a team that was in a bowl, had vets returning and this is what he has done with it.

He has 2 slot wrs that will prob be in NFL camps, prob 2 OL that will be in NFL camps and a RB that will be in a NFL camp. Even if the qb position is unsettled the offense should be scoring more than 13 points against Utah.

It was a dumb statement.

There isn't NFL or even CFL talent at the skill positions.

The floor is definitely raised but ceiling is lower. Like a Jerry Dipoto team.

I agree. Borghi isn’t an NFL running back. Harris isn’t an NFL WR.

The skill players are deep, but there isn’t a difference maker. We need a good system and an experienced QB, and we have neither.

Both will be in NFL camps. Huge NFL careers? No idea. But they will be in camps. They are both difference makers. Don’t think so? Did you not see what happened when DM went in??? He is a liability is pass protection. They can’t put him on the field if they’re gonna throw the ball.

We will find out who is right and who is wrong when they leave WSU.

I think Borghi’s injury last year was more significant than we know, maybe mentally more than physically. Harris is a great player, but he’s just not big enough or fast enough to play in the NFL.

I dont know how you can tell with so few carries he has had. He has plenty of speed to play RB in the NFL. He can catch out of the backfield, if he ever got any volume of carries in a game he may just rip the league apart. Sadly I dont think that will ever happen because of his coaches.

Harris is a kid that can run sideways and backwards just as fast as he can forwards. His punt returns are the film that showcases his athleticism the best. I’d like to see him with 8-12 catches per game.

The prob with the air raid is only 1 guy is featured, the qb. No one else is really able to put together enough touches in a game to really showcase their talent or get into a groove.

And with what we have seen of the run and shoot… who has really had the opportunity to put together much of a game??? How many qbs have we seen??? 4 different kids???

There hardly ever are any NFL guys even on some of our better teams in the past and most of those guys are bubble guys at the next level, practice squad to maybe hanging on a roster or 2 for a year or 2 at best.

10.7 for a guy as small as Harris is not NFL Speed. You need Tyler Lockett speed or Julian Edelman burst and toughness to stick in the NFL.

Horse crap. 10.7 at any perimeter position is NFL speed. How fast do you think Lockett is? Faster than 10.7??? It’s a short lost of guys that can run that.

Edit: Wiki says Lockett ran 10.85 in the 100m. That was 10 years ago. He isn’t faster at 28 years old.

I think Lockett blows past every WR on our roster.

How many NFL receivers has WSU had in the past 10 years? Cracraft? I love Harris, and I’m not bagging on his collegiate talent, but he’s not a possession receiver. He’s not a “every time he touches the ball” breakaway threat. He’s not an elite kick returner.

At best he’s an NFL camp invite and gets released in August. I hope I’m wrong though.

So even when faced with facts of times on the track you refuse to admit that Harris is faster?

I don’t believe we have seen what he can really do. How many touches has he truly had? When he has had a chance, he has shown athleticism.

He will be in a NFL camp. How long he sticks? Depends on scheme, depth, salary cap.

I think that’s all Biggs said is that he’s a NFL camp guy. At that point who knows. FA make NFL rosters all the time. And with his speed and skill set he will probably be in a camp and show what he can do. I know he’s faster than Esop, and he did pretty well in Saints camp.
Biggs is right there are enough difference makers and complimentary experienced guys on this roster to compete THIS YEAR in the conference. The conference is F’ING weak, with a lot of shitty coaches. Unfortunately we have one of the shittier ones or we could be 3-1, 4-0 right now. That’s not a stretch.

I’m not sure that we have enough difference makers. We’ll see in the next 3 weeks.

Harris also ran a 10.7 100m as junior in HS. He has speed to burn
Harris has great feet . He is incredibly quick . He has rb vision and is very good ability to make one cut and go.

But I am not convinced he has top end speed. I thought he did but there are a couple examples of people catching up to him and closing the gap and it was not because of the angle .

With that said I could see Harris making it as a returner and a slot receiver. Maybe not a long career but someone who certainly has talent to be one of gev better players in the Pac 12.

Leach did put Mayle, Cracraft and Dez Pat in the league and Easop is on the Saints practice squad. So, it's not like you can't get noticed as a WR in the Air Raid. Boobie Williams might have had a shot had he stuck around another year as well.

You have zero stats that jump off the page. It is a qb centric offense. There isnt going to be a 1000 yrd back. There isnt going to be a wr with huge numbers. The ball is spread around too much for kids to run up any stats that get noticed. You get limited opps. There is little margin for error. You get 4 throws your way, you’d better make some plays.

The general statement is accurate re the Air Raid. It's possible to have big years and stand out (e.g., Crabtree, Mayle -- people forget Mayle put up a huge year), but that's not the norm. That's not to say it can't put players in the NFL, necessarily. It just is rarer for someone to come in and be "the guy," which most recruits want to be and think they are going to be.

The WR position in the NFL is freakishly good. One of the reasons why I don't think Harris will make it is because he doesn't have enough highlight tape. Where are his explosive TDs? Kick/punt returns? Turning a short pass into a 60 yard burst?

I hope I'm wrong about him, because I really like the kid, but he needs to show out during the last part of the season.

well, having zero qbs who can hit anything beyond 10 yards is a real problem when it comes to building a highlight tape. I mean, they can't even deliver a 50/50 ball, let alone a back shoulder pass. Its going to be tough to recruit new WR with the qbs we currently have.

Hheck...WR is the easiest position to recruit to. They had a walkon in Shawn Tims, QB's in Chad Carpenter and Shawn McWashington, a RB's Kevn McKenzie and Nian Taylor. You can find kids to be functional WR's.

Harris is the least of this teams talent quality and why we're even discussing is ridiculous.

Harris is tied for 2nd in the conference in receiving TDs and is 3rd in the conference in receptions.

What hurts his NFL resume is that he's 25th in the conference in average yards per reception.
