Colorado favored..

Win! Good games by Franks and Elleby.

Having Cannon for 3 years is a good thing.
Having Cannon for another 2 is a really good thing. After a bit of a dry spell he’s really come on from 3, playing better defense, and rebounds well for his size.

Kunc didn’t get a lot of playing time but came up with a block in the post.

Interesting Skaggs was in street clothes. Still engaged but something is going on there.

Thanks. Saw him talking to Ali during a timeout. Looked like he was ok. I like how together this team is whether they are playing or cheering. It’s too bad we couldn’t hold on to get the win over UW. Might have created a better atmosphere. Hopefully the students show up again on Saturday for Utah.

They won’t.

The cubs are growing up and grinded it out against a tall talented Colorado team.A nice victory and loyal slowing rotating right now.Nostradamus he ain t.

I think when you step back snd remember that we were assimilating 6 new players and dealing with the absence of our best and most experienced player it might explain our early season struggles, and why it took so long for this team to jell. Defense is much improved because we have faster longer guys who had to learn what they were capable of. Freshmen and JC kids arent known for bringing a lot of d with them.

Maybe the students are all subscribers to the Pac 12 Network?
Is anyone a subscriber to the Pac-12 network? Based on the finances, not many.

The only way to get students at the games is to develop a winning program and then make sure it is the “cool” thing to do. Social media, Netflix, etc have created a lot of homebodies in this generation. We saw how long it took to get consistent student crowds at football.

As far as students we are bucking a national trend trying to get them to the game. Historically students always were the back bone of hoops attendance in Pullman. The nice thing was we didnt even have to be good in those days.

When I was a freshman in 1989......we sucked. I had the pleasure of being a student watching a team that we could proclaim to be "oh for the decade". The crowds weren't great but they were far better than what we see now. The internet, cable TV and social media have completely changed how fans support teams.

They have completely changed how people interact with their “community.” Not a value statement but just a fact. Explains terrible high school sports attendance across the nation.

Tickets to these games aren’t that expensive I did the family deal for the UW game. 4 tix 4 dogs, 4 sodas for $44. So cheap, you can’t get snacks at the movies for that! and I’d venture to guess there’s 1000s of sports passes that would get students in for free that are going unused for b-ball. Hopefully as wins pile up the students will start paying attention, put down their video games, and head over to Beasley for a couple of hours.
