I’ve soured on Gameday in recent years but WSU will forever be tied to Gameday and Corso was the face of it. It’s good to see him retire, he’s been little more than the show mascot for the past few years.

It's always sad to see an icon go, but the last several years have been very cringeworthy.

Didn't know he was almost 90. Wow! He's lived a great life and what a fun job that must be. Getting going into those environments. Being treated like college football royalty (most of the time). And also being apart of such great football games.

Corso to end four-decade run with 'GameDay'

ESPN analyst Lee Corso, widely known for his headgear picks and "not so fast, my friend" retort, will retire from "College GameDay" in August.
