I've been to the last 3 and will definitely not miss this one either.

I wish I had the money, transportation to go, but I am looking for work, a job, and I am going to move to Phoenix, Arizona, in about 5 to 20 months to be closer to my 2 daughter's(LONG STORY) and don't know when I will ever be back to Eastern WA. again, to be able to go-to something like that.

Hope you all have fun!

oh really? I've been kicking around getting into disc golf.

It's awesome. The courses there are pretty good and well kept, a LOT of trees you have to maneuver around.

Also, Post Falls has a course at Corbin Park by the river. This one is shorter than the courses @ Farragut and have a lot of rocks but a cool spot and a ton of fun.

I would imagine that Saturday's game, (the 23rd), may be the first time a COUG Day section has ever been sold out?

Pretty amazing come from behind win. Mariners were down 4-0 Rangers. 8th inning, come from behind, remarkable win. 6-5 over Texas.

Eleven in a row is their second best in franchise history. They had 15 in a row in 2001.

Also tonight, can't forget about Sam Haggerty's INSIDE PARK HOME RUN. That was amazing.

For the BANDWAGONERS' that haven't come out of the closet yet......time to get out of the closet and enjoy the ride! You'll be ahead of the masses, when the state of Washington wakes up.

For those who don't know....what is THE ONLY WAY to stream ROOT SPORTS live games without local and away blackout? You only have three options....
  • DirecTV Stream, must select CHOICE PACKAGE, (month to month, cancel anytime, unlimited devices, and more importantly, you can share your account with a friend or a relative to 3 separate locations, so they can Zelle you and split the bill). I have one shared account left, if anyone is interested. $30 a month for 3 months. DirecTV Stream is a new provider. NOT A SATELLITE DISH. Streaming only. Accepts all devices, such as your ROKU PLAYER, your Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Android TV, iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Mac, Windows, LG Smart TV, Samsung Smart TV, Sony Smart TV, and VIZIO Smart TV.
  • fubuTV, must select ELITE PACKAGE, (month to month, cancel anytime, unlimited devices, however, you cannot share your account to friend or relative at a separate location). Accepts all devices.
  • MLB.tv. Games are LIVE only if you live outside the Seattle TV market. If not, both home and away are 90 minutes delayed. This is the cheapest of the 3....so if you live out of the state of Washington....this is no doubt the best option. If you live within the blackout area....DirecTV Stream is the best option, (unless you already have an active fubuTV account).
If your TV Provider isn't carrying Root Sports, (most are not), you'll have to get over the Resistance Stage and the Denial Stage, and get over to the Exploration and Commitment Stage and buck up. Or, just listen to the radio for free. You're saying...."I don't care about baseball"....that's what Bandwaging is all about. We're all bandwagon people, unless you're an exception and a true Mariners die hard fan.

You can stream mlb tv too. I think right now you can get 1 team the rest of the season for $50 or so. I am moving and ditching cable in the process. I think that's the route I am gonna go.

You sure can. BUT....ALL MARINERS GAMES will not be live. They are blacked out on MLB.tv. YES. BOTH HOME AND AWAY ARE BLACKED OUT, unless you live outside the Seattle market. If you don't.....the only way to watch the games on MLB.tv is 90 MINUTES AFTER THE GAME IS OVER. So basically, you're watching the game on a 90 minute delayed basis....both home and away.

Unfortunately, I spent hours on this. 😫

You think it's fun to watch local games starting at 11:30pm at night? Sure...if you live outside the Seattle TV market....great.....MLB.tv is the cheapest way to go, and you can watch it live.

If not.....DirecTV Stream is the best solution, and then just cancel when the season is over, or after the World Series. :D Enjoy the ride.

Oh really. Even of you pay for the subscription to the one team specifically? That seems silly. Hopefully Root can expand to YouTube tv or some others next season.

The games that matter will be on a channel I get. In September/October.

And, they’ll still be baseball.

I called three different call centers, MLB.tv, DirecTV Stream, and fuboTV, and spoke with live CSR's, (yes, it was painful).

Basically, Root Sports has a carriage agreement with AT&T (which owns DirecTV) and fubo). They won't share their channel with others, such as Dish Network, SlingTV, or YouTubeTV.

After agonizing for days....I figure....3 months is cheaper then going to a couple of games, while watching every single local and away game live, and split it it to others for $30 a month. (Let me know if anyone is interested in splitting my DirecTV Stream account). Why not enjoy the ride?

Ahhh that makes sense then bummer. Blackouts are weird to me. I dont think they actually get more people to games but I could be wrong. I have been to 8 games so far this year. I got one of the flex passes. Kinda a cool deal actually

I got them tix... Let's get a beer MI
Oh, man. I had to change plans, because of a business conflict. Going to the Wednesday afternoon game on the 27th, (great Dugout seats) against the Rangers....instead. Would have been great to hang out....plus you get the Jersey.

Unfortunate but work comes before play. Hope it all works out... Until then, I hope the Mariners make franchise history on Coug Day this Saturday by winning their 16th in a row. It sure would be awesome to see them do it in person.

Never tied the COUG Day and the possible 16th win together. That would be epic.

Are you taking the bus, Uber, or driving? If you are driving.....download the Spot Hero app on your phone. Search for T-Mobile Park, choose July 23rd. Reserved parking garage right next the stadium is only $15.00. Such a deal. Check it out if you don't have parking figured out yet. (Paid only $12.00 for Wednesday). Sweet deal.

being a northwest fan who wants to watch a team on TV is tough. How is it that Coug/Mariners fans might have the hands down worst 1-2 combo of TV deals in existence?

At least the Hawks are on free Fox on Sundays

AT&T owns DirecTV (and DirecTV Stream), therefore Dish Network is cutoff from a carriage agreement, in addition, Root Sports (which is owned my the Mariners) is basically controlling everything, do to greed? $$$$.

it's just odd, because root (used to be called something else. escapes me now) used to be widely distributed, and now its buried in the 4th tier of 1 provider. how does that make them any money?

It seems like they want to force people to pay for DirecTV Stream or fubu TV. MLB.tv you have to wait 90 minutes until the game is over to watch. We eventually caved in, and picked up DirecTV Stream with the intent to CANCEL in October. It's very disappointing, and the radio is fine, but after a while....TV makes more sense. After 90 days we're cancelling.

BTW, we've got one more spot to share, (you can legally share DirecTV Stream up to three different households).

Mariners get good local ratings

Even paying nearly nothing for Big Sky rights gets Montana people to stay on for the Mariners games during the rest of the year.

This revenue from ROOT isn't shared with other teams and certainly not the players under skinflint owner John Stanton.
