Folks today can’t help but vomit their every fleeting thought in public these days. Decorum be damned. Not surprised and that is why I (mostly) don’t use it anymore.
People have to die on the cross of their own opinion being applied to the variables of others' lives.

Yes, and this particular issue of covid has caused some in this country to lose their damn minds. Amazing to see how fearful people are. How terrified they live their lives...all over a virus that has virtually zero chance of taking your life (if you are under 70 years old and/or don't have significant co-morbidities).
It's really disappointing to see how weak and irrational we've become as a country.
Maybe… but covid has touched literally every family . Kids missing school and the social impact. People losing their businesses. People losing their jobs. Some losing their lives. On top of that it has become a political issue. People may be quiet but the moment he can’t do his job, or the moment he gets covid, or the moment he needs to be quarantined because he and his team have covid then the issue will be back at the forefront.
Wait … are you the one who said covid is here to stay? The one who said we will see variants mutate? And I think at this point you are correct . I think we had a chance to get out in front of the latest variant but chose not too. And I will say it was a very small window .
That being said , with all the potential variants the only thing the variant won’t do is change to where it affects younger people and pose a greater risk . Why can it mutate to be more transmissible but the one way it won’t change is an age group it affects . Interesting bet.
Yes, and it has apparently been fine for government to destroy the lives of countless people from the fear of covid. Those lives don't count, right?
Better get used to covid. It isn't going away. It will keep mutating regardless of how many get the "vaccine". I fully expect that I'll get covid sometime in the future. So what? I'll be sick for several days and then recover. I've been sick before. It's life. Bad things happen.
Like I said in another thread … maybe a good cleansing is what we need … btw the government handed out so much money with ppp that I have a client from Spokane who paid off 50k in credit card debt and had another 50k to put down on a house .
I know of someone who had their best year ever , got 9 mil in ppp, now has a 7 million dollar 9 passenger jet.
Just ran into someone at grocery store . Sells a speciality food item. Thought for sure he was going to tell me he is hanging on by a string. Said best year ever …due to door dash . .got an extra 180k in ppp money, still has 175k.
People even without the government shutting down made their own choices to stay away from places where it can be transmitted .
And you may be right … for now . You may get it and maybe you get mild symptoms . Or maybe you get long-haulers like my very close friend whose wife brought home covid from a wedding she attended in November . He still feels the affect of it today .
Or there is the possibility delta morphs into something worse and starts really affecting younger and younger people. But maybe that is just not a possibility .
