I think that at least one poster here made a comment about being"conflicted" on wanting the cougs to lose so WSU would jettison Kent.

It does bring up something I have been wondering about. For those who are vehement anout wanting Kent gone, what would it take this year for you to soften. A CBI? NIT? NCAA? Or, nothing would change your mind after losing to MSU, and having the past losing seasons.

True enough, actually I think that with a little luck he may get another player or two to help Elleby next year. Looks like to me the Pac12 is not having an up year so a winning season should be reachable.

5 conference wins and I think Kent gets another year with a wait and see for the next year. Less than 5 conference wins but more than 2 conference wins and I think he gets another year as a lame duck while Chun searches for replacement. 2 or less conference wins and I think WSU bites the financial bullet and pulls the plug.

I never thought we were unwatchable until the last 1 or 2seasons but was disappointed we didn’t make the Tournament in year 2. Bone needed it to establish himself and we make it without the off court issues. Then the last few seasons started to bury him.

So here we are again and personally the recruiting has improved enough to me that I don’t think we should pay another coach to go away. I’m not saying to extend and since we are on the hook for 3 more years we don’t need to anyway. Unless there is a mass exodus I think we should keep Kent rather than increase spending to fire and hire another coach.
