Cougs favored..

Kunc with 5 early. Shows a nice stroke from 3 when he gets set.

Group on the floor:
Robinson
Cannon
Elleby
Franks
Wade

Maybe our best lineup potential until Daniels gets back.

Kind of an ugly game, they were terrible and we played a lot of different line ups and players. This was the perfect game to get some extra time for players down towards the bottom of the rotation. I really wish they had redshirted Kunc, he is going to be a good player down the line but won’t provide much this year. Same question as after last game... what’s the deal with Wade? He looked promising prior the the injury and since coming back has been nonexistent.

Pretty much saw it the same way. Point guard play was better thouģh

Good point on Wade must be a lingering injury of some sort.

Watched part of UCLA/Cincy last night. This conference is awful. That might bode well for a couple wins - but that just gives Ernie more ammo to stay. It continues to boggle my mind that AD's pay multi-millions of dollars and provide multi-year contracts for coaches. What a scam. Defies all laws of supply/demand.

It's a weird conflict - wanting the squad to do well but almost hoping CEK (continues to) falls on his face so the powers that be pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

We have an all conference senior, and likely the best frosh since Klay, and all you want is to see Ernie gone.

One of the worst over-all won-loss records in Cougar history and you wonder why someone (anyone) is even remotely displeased? That's what I find perplexing.

I think Kunc will be fine. He showed more toughness last night. Once he gets stronger he's gonna be a good one. Not sure what the deal with Wade is. Ernie is spending a lot of time with him, much as he did with Franks a couple of years ago. I think he is having trouble positioning himself properly.

We've talked at length on this board about how Ernie is sticking around for at least one more year because we don't have the $$$ to buy him out. If we are stuck with him, shouldn't all Cougs want him to win as much as possible?

I think that it is plain BS to be conflicted about the cougs winning games. Anyone who has competed in any level should want to win. If the cougs win a fair share of conference games than it is because the conference is terrible? One can only play whomever is put in front of you. Some fans praise opposing coaches in the PAC 12 then say the conferrer is terrible? I really like the 2019 recruiting so far and it is most likely that Kent will be around for another couple of years. The new guys like Elleby and Kunc and others indicates a program on the rise i want it to continue.

I said I was conflicted.

Hoping that perhaps a no win conference record might anger someone with a big enough checkbook to choke down Moos’ debacle of a contract bestowed on his buddy.

It’s a quandary.

Btw, aside from Hurley, coaching in the pac 12 is as bad as it’s ever been. Maybe Larry K at Utah but he’s not going to make anybody forget John Wooden, that’s for sure. Jury still out on Hopkins. Altman is obviously solid.

Kunc will be good. I think Cannon. Ali, and Robinson will too. Not sure what's with Wade. He was explosive the first 2 games. Has to be a lingering physical issue.

Pretty good team I think. I know I am a lot more interested in how we look going forward than how we looked in the past.

Hate to say it but there might have been some addition by subtraction with Flynn.

Not sure how we had addition by subtraction when point guard play has been our weakest part of the game. Every time teams press us we up-chuck the ball and allow them to close 20 pt gaps. I would have liked to see Ali play some 2 guard while Daniels was out because he isn’t much of a point guard.

I thought that Ali looked much better the last game. He seems to have the personality of a PG but has had to adjust to the physicality of D 1 basketball That is a transition as one moves up in competition.
