First half looked worse than Texas S game despite only being down by 5. Daniels was a bright spot the first 20 minutes. As for Skaggs the best compliment I can give him is that his hustle was as impressive as his shooting. Acquaah really struggled. I think that exhibition game after sitting out a year maybe came too easy for him.

Best 5 right now looks like Flynn, Daniels, Skaggs, Franks, Bernstine. Franks found it much harder being targeted but Bernstine should help. Still have to get Franks more touches.

Acquaah and Hinson struggled and we turn the ball over a lot just not paying attention. Chidom hasn't seen a shot he doesn't like this year. I do think they will start to drop but a lot were not good shots.

The game again was a learning game as Milan had 4 rbs and 5 assts. Another bright spot was Chidom s 11 rbs. It was nice to see Bernstine getting in some game time.The parts are there if they can come together.The cougs won and Franks did not have a good game.The cougs are 2-0 and yet to play a full game. It will probably take 4-5 games before they pull it together. Bernstine and Pollard still have to hit their strid.The team has to continue to work hard and learn from their mistakes.A positive outlook among the early negatives ones.

At least fans are showing interest and the parts are there for a good competitive team. As i said before ,i believe this team is potentially far better than last years. Next Monday they have to be ready to play 40 minutes,not just one half.

The Tournament games start next Thursday. The Tournament will give a better indication of what to expect this year.

There are players on this team who should never ever take a 3-point shot. Kent found the right starters in the second half.

That is plain wrong unless you are talking about Cooper and Pollard. The starters will be determined during the next couple of weeks. The better teams and players will show who the starters will be .

Having Franks, Daniels, Skaggs, and Flynn gives us a chance to get great production from Guys like Acquaah, Bernstein and Pollard. I have always felt that teams like WSU absolutely need 3 good outside shooters on the floor most of the time.

Bernstine will be starting within a couple of weeks. The guards can rotate in and whomever has the hot hand and playing tough defense will determine who gets the majority of playing time. it is great to have a 3 pt shooter like Skaggs who can drill the three whenever teams start cheating to prevent penetration..Pollard is the ideal reserve big man who can play tough defense,and pick up" Garbage buckets" with tough inside play. Acquaah once he settles down will play 20-30 minutes a game.The only player who has been disappointing so far is Cooper

There are some parts to the puzzle still missing but I think they might be already on the roster and playing. Some players Acquaah being the main one just need to learn their role and settle into them it takes time. Right now this team is not playing very good basketball as a whole but we are getting great individual efforts to win. Ultimately the goal is to win and it is important for teams to learn to win anyway possible and this team so far seem to know how to win.
I have said before I think this team is a year away for being good. Usually teams like that have talent but take time to gel then come on strong at the end of the season. 2-0 is where u thought we would be right now but with easier wins. A win is a win and if we keep winning anyway possible and gel mid season who knows maybe the NIT is possible. I’d be happy with that.

As far as the program goes it hasn’t really snowed yet and there are ZERO fans in the stands. The season ticket holder seats were empty. Students were loud but also not a good showing number wise. It might be the times we live in with every game being televised but it just doesn’t feel like college basketball at Beasley.

I hope that changes. The cougs have a folk hero in the making and some talented but inexperience players. The students may come out to see them if they can win a couple of games in the Tournament next week. They should dispatch Idaho State easily this Friday.
