In the press conference after the game, Riley said that they are both done for the season. Also, Vavers has broken bones in both hands and is also done for the season. They all played in less than 30% of the games and will qualify for a redshirt. That is a shame for all of them.

Expected but brutal. They each added an element we definitely miss. Still hope for Coward I guess.

$***, guess I decided to block out Coward. Hope we get another year as well.

I do expect Coward to do what he did this year and enter the draft to get input from the NBA. Depending on what he hears, he may pull out of the draft again. With Wilson and Vavers, hopefully they both stay. Will the portal, you just never know anymore.

We do play an exciting brand of ball with all players getting chances. As Riley said, the three will become assistant coaches now. That will help them to feel a part of the team.

Also, as far as the timing of the surgeries, it is obvious that since both Coward and Vavers had surgery this week, they were waiting until after finals to have the surgery.

Why do broken bones take more than 8 weeks to heal? That would mean Vavers should be ready in early February, right? Are hand bones slower to heal?
