Curious if injunction will be sought.

If the Pac12 can provide evidence of collusion would a judge grant an injunction to hold the schools leaving hostage

Would not be forever but maybe 2 seasons.

I’d play that card all day long.

No, because damages can be readily measured and obtained. Injunctive relief is only available if there is an inadequate remedy at law. A billion dollars judgment would (theoretically) make WSU/OSU more than whole.

But losing P5 status and lack of teams in the conference leaves us with a big short term hole.

Agreed long shot but feels like we have to start doing legal flexing

I don’t see an injunction happening. The schools have a clear right to leave. The fact that the bylaws include consequences for leaving acknowledges that they can.

Simply devaluing the shared product (the PAC-12) by removing individual value of, say UW, probably wouldn’t be enjoined because UW is free to do what they want with their own value…if they’re willing to pay the stated consequences.

Where that comes apart is if there’s evidence that any of the schools colluded with each other or the networks to intentionally cause disparate harm to other members. This would probably have to exceed predictable business harm and get into a case like “can you take everyone except WSU and OSU.”
