Position coach. Not head coach. Never played a down under Walden as head coach.
Walden only coached Doornick for 1 year (1977)

He began his career in 1974 and was the starter in 1975. Two full years before Walden even set foot on campus.

He was a Coug and a 3 year starter before Walden.
