Did a fair good job with pressure but my only thing is better tackling. We missed a few, if we can get that under control we can be a way better team. Great win nonetheless. Anyone else’s thoughts?

This is what I expected our defense to look like this year. I thought we were going to have to outscore teams. I was pleasantly surprised how we shut down Wisconsin’s run.
Oregon State is also a lot more physical than people gave them credit for. I don’t think there’s a defense in this conference they can’t punch in the face.

Honestly the tackling was mostly ok, the part that made me hold my breath was those outside zone runs, because we just can't get off the blocks. Smith could've made a lot more use of those multiple tight end sets, though the Cougs DID do a pretty good job of shutting down the play action off those runs.
