He hurt his ankle. I thought his backup played pretty well in his first start against the #7 team. I think he's a true freshman.

UWs defense against a team with a pulse makes me feel better about our chances against them. Nakia Watson should run over every linebacker on their squad. They were getting trucked.

AZ did. I ld also say we have a better secondary. Who knows if everyone is healthy for that one though, that was a huge problem last year.

I saw a lot of it off and on. Didn’t seem Husky’s were really in command either.

Yeah UW never felt threatened, but the first time I’ve seen them not be able to drive the dagger in. It wasn’t for a lack of trying they didn’t take their foot off the gas at all. AZ kept the deep stuff under control and made them work. And AZ didn’t have a ton of trouble moving the ball. They were running it down their throat when they wanted to and their QB had some success.

I think Cam and Mateer running could give them fits and their secondary is improved, but I think our passing game got better than their secondary did. They certainly aren’t rolling out Peters or McDuffie.

Gives me some optimism.

I didn't think he played that bad considering this was his first start ever and he is a true freshman. AZ wideouts are pretty good too. It was a game where the expected happened other than UW scoring at will via the long ball.

Yeah I second this. 5.9/A 3 td 1 pick. Made some plays with his feet. Against the #7 team in the country that had played some pretty good defense thought he played well especially being a freshman.
