I see where one of the latest coug commits is visiting Ca. He is scheduled to visit Cal on 12/12. Wait and see i guess.

I don't think there's much of a chance we hold onto all 4 of those RCC commits.

If one jumps, then who knows. It sure seems like the whole bill of sale was on keeping them together so they could reek havoc together. They've played together, they've "gelled", they're a team. That gets broke up, who knows where each individual will go.

It's kind of ridiculous how much shifting there is with recruits really starting in these last two years it seems like. You used to get your standard upshift switches from four and five star guys, but now, it seems like half the three star guys with two offers are reopening their recruiting for one reason or another. We'll have five guys we've never even considered in the class before it's done. It just seems to be how things are now.

To be fair, they committed without a DC on staff, and although I'm confident in Big Joe retaining his recruits, all bets are off if WSU brings in Schmuckley Magoo as the DC.

And by Schmuckley Magoo, you mean Nick Holt?

Wilson is listed as a soft verbal to WSU at this point. Perhaps if the new D coordinator is named Clancy Pendergast,it might make a difference.

What we are seeing now in WSU recruiting is what any other staff sees when it is recruiting guys coveted my many programs. Prior to 2012, few if any programs cared much about who WSU offered. I'd rather see us taking shots and making a few than play a bunch of Big Sky prospects at linebacker.

The defensive coordinator hire will have zero impact on his ultimate decision. It goes way beyond that.

i would bet the other school is ASU, Wilson has family in Arizona. He also has a baby on it s way and his family can help care for her.The "experts' choice was Cal. But i would guess that ASU may be the one.A man has to take care of his family and i cannot blame the guy if that is his choice.

Good insight. But to counter for the benefit of WSU football AND Mr. Wilson… If he has a child on the way, Pullman is THE place to be raising the little one. Multiple, multiple reasons why WSU would be a better spot for a sprouting family.

Get on the horn and let him know. I would guess that the cougs will make another effort to persuade him to come to Pullman.

It's not Arizona State, though he may still visit there.

Well I hope that he stays with his verbal to WSU. Interestingly he was originally a commit to USC out of high school. Then he wanted to go to Oregon. He was quoted that ASU,WSU were also at the top of his list. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Any bets?

Program alert: People raise families in Pullman

If Devante needs an example of a football dad, he can look to Leon Bender. Wilson should stick with WSU.

The name Wilson and WSU doesn't go together very well.

Re: Program alert: People raise families in Pullman

the mid-year transfer LOI for JC players is quickly approaching.

Washington State's top recruiter is a Wilson.
