Dickert cannot. Smith could. A few of the other current coaches could. But, what if they left? What if Smith got a head coaching job at a lower level and took some coaches with him? Dickert would be stuck with an offense that the coaches are not easily replaceable. Most likely he would have to hire coaches that didn't know the intricacies of the offense with few coaches on staff to teach them. That is a recipe for disaster, or at least not an ideal situation.
