Does Utah spoil Harbaugh's debut tonight?

They've had pretty good success in Ann Arbor, will be interesting to see how this one goes down.

I don't think Utah will be as good as most experts think they will. If you can put up a stout line and slow down the run game, make them pass they are probably not in a good zone. Wilson is mediocre at best, and he is clearly the number 1 QB. If you can not slow down their running game you are in trouble. I also think on defense there will be an impact of losing the long time DC there.

I also don't really know how good Michigan is, but I do know they will try to run the ball all night against Utah. It is Harbaugh's MO

Really looking forward to this game. If Wilson can limit the turnovers, I think Booker will put on a clinic tonight and the Utes embarrass Harbaugh and co.

From what I've seen I expect it to be a tough defensive battle. I think Michigan takes it. Utah doesn't have the offensive firepower to overcome the grittiness that Michigan is going to have on defense.

The real question is how is Michigan's offense going to fair against Utah's defense? Given that Harbaugh hired Drevno to be his OC who was at USC as their running game coordinator last year and was the OL coach for the 49ers under Harbaugh....

I expect them to pound it on Utah. and Stanford while it has regressed, is close to what Utah will face. They beat Stanford last year in double overtime, but Michigan isn't walking in with a bunch of poor recruits. They have a lot of talent...much more than Stanford, and if Harbaugh is quick in getting them organized like he was in San Francisco I would expect them to come out on top.

It'll be a defensive game for sure though.

Not that I have seen him play a lot but it seems Wilson's typical stat line is 13/27 340 yds 2 TDs 2 INTs for the last three years.

IMO, it depends on whether Travis Wilson can hit the broad side of a barn or not.

Wilson's TD to INT ratio wasn't bad last year and Gardner"s was terrible. It is a pretty historic day with Michigan at Utah wearing the all-whites. Really looking forward to it.

At Utah, Harbaugh's first game- Utah wins, both teams score in the 20's.

Intriguing game. Michigan's run defense is one of the best in the Nation, so Utah will likely have to move the ball through the air. Not Wilson's strength.

On the other hand, Utah has one of the best special teams units in the country. Michigan is (or has been) woefully bad on offense, and if Utah takes care of the ball and repeatedly pins Michigan inside their 30, it could be tough for them to move the ball.

Anyone wanting the Michigan Depth Cart http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...pdf/2015-16/depth_chart_event/depth_chart.pdf Don't know why they struggled last year with all the experience they had on the oline other than to say Al Borges was a better college OC than Nussmeier.

I didn't realize they're playing in SLC...that being the case, I agree, I think the Utes steal this one. They seem to always play up to the competition in big games, and being at home tips it in their favor.

Utah wins, they are a tough team and Michigan won't have their new system fully installed yet (in terms of player comfort/execution/confidence).

4500' counts for something, right? This game is a must-watch for me

My prediction is yes. Utah will beat Michigan at home. Score, I think it will be 24-17.

Everyone who picked the Utes: your check is in the mail. Good showing for the P-12, hopefully we can knock another big 12 off next week.

You did it!

It was an okay game, sort of what I expected from both except two major differences.

1. Michigan couldn't run the ball. Utah's rush defense was excellent.
2. Michigan's QB was pretty bad. Missed a wide open TD, threw 3 picks (1 for a pick six) and only 1 TD.

If you throw 3 picks, 1 for a TD you are probably going to lose.
Michigan did pretty well stopping Utah defensively. They were 3/13 on 3rd down.

I wonder if Harbaugh is going to keep this QB all season.

Not watching the game, but Arizona is struggling with UT - San Antonio. They lead 21-20 at the half.

I have to come clean. I cheated. I stole a Grays Sports Almanac from the future from some guy named Biff Tannen.

Are you rooting for the conference? Or Hawaii?
I'll take a win by a CU team that looks really beatable, which they do so far. To this point, it's definitely not the kind of performance a team about to turn the corner would crank out.

I think I will root for Hawaii, as it is where I lived when I was young. Still have many relatives that live there. Besides, I was reading a prediction from a USC Trojan writer that predicted CU to be much improved and WSU to get worse and be the worst team in the conference. So, "F" him.

Go Hawaii! If you don't mind me asking, what part of Hawaii? I go to Kauai regularly!!

Kauai is my favorite island in Hawaii. It is absolutely beautiful (well, they are all beautiful, but you know what I mean). We were in Aliamanu, on the main island.

Oh, and Hawaii beat Colorado last night 28-20.

you know, I have nothing against CO but the worst they are, that means we aren't. So I'm OK with this.

And yes, all the islands are incredible but Kauai has a special place in my heart. North shore, away from people... Out in the boonies where I belong. o_O

Well, my prediction was way off. Kind of surprised that Michigan didn't look a bit better offensively.
