Just saw a link on KOMO that he is recovering.

As an aside, I remember having his football card as a kid...and his dad taught boxing at WSU and I was in that
class the last semester they offered it

I am happy to hear the good news.

I think that Dr Doornink was his uncle. Had him for golf - he’d hit about five shots while we watched. Then he’d say “go hit them like that” and that was the class.

I had him for golf as well, in 79 i think
