When it comes to control and rules for the athletes the NCAA has been neutered by the transfer portal and NIL. They are in for the money grab just like the players, with the basketball tournament, and with the soon to be expanded football playoffs, which if they are smart they will allow bidding on it every year and bump their income up even more. They are just ridin' the money train, and let the athletes do as they wish. And with that type of governing, NCAA sports as we used to know them is bound to crash sooner or later.
