Even as captain of the JDL fan club

It’s a wise move by Dickert to go after another well regarded QB. You can’t get caught in a situation where you don’t have capable QB play, and JDL has already shown that he’s an injury risk.

If JDL gets bent about this decision, which I don’t think he will, then we’re better off without him.

I still like and have hope for JDL; he has the winning swagger that can't be taught.

That being said, if he doesn't fix his mechanics I'm fine with him holding a clipboard. You can't tell me that his 5 minute wind-up doesn't affect his accuracy on the short and intermediate routes, as well as gives the defense a chance to read and react.
