This article, while a pretty good discussion, is wrong on a couple of levels. Boise State has never been "linked with PAC expansion", and never will be. Excellent point though, on their shitty academics. Otherwise, the math is pretty simple. SDSU (no-brainer), UNLV, CSU or SMU. Or all 4. Beggars cannot be choosers. Why are we making this so hard?
On a side note, how is the Big-12 going to accommodate BYU's no games on Sunday rule? Football, no problem. But what about basketball, baseball and the various women's sports? Did the league really think that one through?
Back to the PAC. We have had a full F-ing year since the traitor announcement hit. F the goddam media deal - get your shit together and bring some or all of these teams in. What have we got to lose? Besides the league itself.
I went to the 1998 BSU game in Boise (I think that was our last win that season). Remember Humping Hanna's bar after the game in downtown Boise. Fun night. This quite attractive chick approached me (late and drunk) and wanted to dance. Well, since I was there with my then wife, I had to decline. Kinda regret that.

I will give Boise and Boise State credit for taking an area and a school that was nothing more than the drippings off a fat man's asscrack and remaking themselves enough to at least be mentioned in national conversations.
