Falk released by Jets

Guess the last couple games didn’t do anything for the Jets coaches as they are putting in a #2 QB who basically hasn’t played for 2 years.

They let Darnold take all 1st team reps in practice and then threw LF in at the last second to be feasted on. Too bad for Luke.

Ricky Turner threw 4 passes in his NFL career, one of them for more yards (37 yards) than Falk ever completed in his 3 starts for the Jets.

Just as i predicted. That s what happens when a QB has an absolute miserable game and shows that he is not NFL caliber. Oh well he picked up a good chunk of change and can now find a good paying career.

I guess you did not like it? I said that he would be released right after his miserable performance. Frankly i was surprised that he made it past training camp. The Terrible Turk made his visit asking for the play book

Falk has looked really terrible. Same problem for him as college. Takes way too many sacks.

I don't think anyone on this board really thought he was going to survive in the NFL but a lot of us were at least pulling for him. It's kind of what true Cougar fans do.....root for their own. I'm glad Luke got the opportunity. The vast majority of college QBs never get the chance to play in the NFL.

Sam Darnold had a QB rating of 3.6 for the game. That's incredible, never seen anything like that. Darnold was 11-32 for 86 yards, no TDs, and 4 interceptions. Jets are really bad on offense no matter who is QB. I don't know how they beat the Cowboys last week. It also indicates that New England's defense is probably as good as it's ever been.

I watched that game too and wondered how it isnt the offensive staff being released this week. Theyre awful. Coaching matters. It is bullsh!t to be firing the players when the coaching is so bad.

That staff set Falk up for failure and fired him when he couldnt produce with their crap scheme.

They are better off making Cam an option qb and letting him barrel down the field at 6’6” 260 than throw the ball 30 times.
