Might not be a popular thought whatsoever, but I would seriously give an interview to Tracy Fords brother who is at Idaho. He has probably the best connections in the PNW for skill positions and seems like a decent dude and coach. Unlike his brother. But in this changing landscape….
HELL NO. It's already bad enough that TRACY FORD, sends all his Whitworth College, 1 star, 2 star, NR, FCS, Div 3, etc players to WSU, while sending his 4 stars to UW, while BAD MOUTHING SHET at WSU for WSU not taking his SHET players, and talking Dickert's, WSU into taking his SHET players as scholly players.
If WSU got Tracy Ford's brother, it WSU, Dickert would get MORE SHET from Tracy Ford, and all those connections, etc, still wouldn't help WSU, as most of those CONNECTIONS, would still send their 3.5+ star players to UW, despite Tracy Ford's brother being at WSU. Tracy Ford would still see to that, so that UW still gets Tracy's best players, and so that Tracy can still either send his Div 3 players to WSU, or get WSU to take his Div 3 players, or BAD MOUTH SHET at WSU better for not taking his Div 3 players better, as his Brother coaching at WSU.
Aside from that headache, problem, Tracy's brother does NOT have connections to the 3.5 stars in SO CAL, Texas, outside WA, which is more important then WA because WA USUALLY, DOES NOT PRODUCE THE KIND OF BETTER TALENT THAT IS OUTSIDE WA, OR WASHINGTON'S BEST TALENT GOES TO UW.
WSU CAN, DOES get those 3.5 stars that outside WA, in SO CAL, etc.
Any assistant coach WSU gets needs to have connections to and be able to recruit 3.5 stars from SO CAL, Texas, so HELL NO to Tracy Ford's brother as a WR assistant coach.
TERRIBLY BAD IDEA.
ONE CAN ONLY PRAY, HOPE THAT FILANI GETS THE JOB HE IS INTERVIEWING FOR, as he has NOT been very good at WSU.
Definitely a chance to get a better WR coach.
And he is gone, replaced by new WR coach Nick Edwards, who NFL WR, great recruiter, produced KUPER KUPP in NFL. AWESOME!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!

Figured the Ford idea would be met with disgust, but we need recruiters. And it looks like Dickert had the same idea but a much better candidate than I.
Because Texas did NOT do their homework on Filani, just like North Texas did not do their homework on Morris.
All these places see is the 7 wins that WSU won, and directly attribute that to Filani, Morris, etc, and don't do their homework to see that Dickert, WSU won 7 games DESPITE the bad coaching of Filani, Morris.
Just goes to show that have to dig below the surface, do your homework, etc.
Ford's brother would NOT have recruited well at WSU and would only have led to more Tracy Ford either sending his SHET to WSU or BAD MOUTHING, SHETTING WSU FOR NOT TAKING HIS SHET PLAYERS.
Ford's brother's connections would still send their players to UW, despite Ford's brother at WSU, because of Tracy Ford.
But could you spell his first name right? He's been in the league for a while now.
Kids pick their best option. Having a great relationship with a coach may seem like it helps….. until Michigan State shows up.
